docs(connectors): cut the four unwalked connector claims (TASK-014) - #2899
Cuts the four connector claims that no walk has passed, plus the act half of the tools sentence. Keeps the seven rows the walks passed, narrowed to what was walked, and records each verdict in docs/audits/claim-table.md.
Cut (each one is restored when it is walked):
"Channels carry messages between a pod and an outside chat". Needs a live Slack or Telegram connection, which is a write.
Telegram: "bind a private chat and choose which pods reach it". The private-chat bind was not run. The Telegram row is removed.
Slack: "authorize a workspace". OAuth was not started. The Slack row is removed.
GitHub App: "the connection owner grants tools". The app was not installed for the walk account. The grant sentence is removed from the intro and the GitHub row; "an instance administrator installs the app" stays.
Tools: "let an agent act in another service after the connection owner grants access". The only grant walked was read-mode.
The Telegram and Slack integration pages stay in the docs nav. The GitHub App link is dropped from this page. Trimming that integration page's grant flow is a separate follow-up PR.
Kept, walked on prod (build 4fd217a, 2026-10-27) by a non-author on a signed-in account:
Open Connectors in Commonly (390 and 1440 screenshots)
Slack and Telegram are channels
Tools let an agent read another service after the connection owner grants access. Read walked on a read-only Linear grant.
GitHub App: an instance administrator installs the app
The grants guide sentence
Linear is a tool you can grant today. Linear: connect your account; Linear: grant read access to an eligible pod (same build, read-only grant)
No-loss check
Against origin/main at 920edd5, the kept sentences are unchanged except the two the gate asked to narrow. The tools sentence now says read only. The channel line no longer calls GitHub a tool, and it names Linear as one you can grant today. The removals are the cut claims, the Telegram and Slack table rows, the cut half of the GitHub cell, and the GitHub App link.
GitHub tool grants
The page does not say whether GitHub tool grants are available. The code has a GitHub App grant path (backend/routes/grants.ts:346), and the walk account has no GitHub App install, so neither "available" nor "not available" is a walked claim.
Airtable
No docs page on main mentions Airtable (git grep -i airtable over docs-site/, docs/ and README.md). Prod's Tools list shows it. That is product copy, not docs, and it is not in this PR.
Open for the gate
Claim-table line 105 asks for a walk with both a 390 and a 1440 screenshot. Only the Open Connectors row has both. The other six kept rows have no 390 screenshot; five have no screenshot at all, and the grants guide has a 1440 one only. They are kept as walked per the TASK-014 ruling. A viewport re-walk is the fix if the gate wants one.
Supersedes #2891 (fallback stub for the v3.0.0 freeze).
Cut the four claims no walk has passed, keep the seven that have, and
record each verdict in the claim table.
Cut (restore each on walk):
- "Channels carry messages between a pod and an outside chat": needs a
live Slack or Telegram connection, which is a write.
- Telegram "bind a private chat": the private-chat bind was not run. The
Telegram row is removed.
- Slack "authorize a workspace": OAuth was not started. The Slack row is
removed.
- GitHub App "the connection owner grants tools": the app was not
installed for the walk account. The sentence is removed from the GitHub
row, and "an instance administrator installs the app" stays.
The Telegram and Slack integration pages stay in the docs nav.
Kept, walked on prod (build 4fd217a, 2026-10-27) by a non-author on a
signed-in account: Open Connectors in Commonly; Slack and Telegram are
channels, GitHub and Linear are tools; GitHub App install; the grants
guide; tools read (Linear read grant); Linear connect and grant read.

Walkthrough
The Connectors page now describes tools as read-only and identifies Slack and Telegram as channels and Linear as a tool. It removes the Telegram and Slack table rows and GitHub App owner-grant wording. The audit table records production observations and claim outcomes.
The page updates the channel and tool descriptions, removes the Telegram and Slack table rows, and removes owner-grant wording from the GitHub App path.
Record connector walk results docs/audits/claim-table.md
The audit table records production observations, separates read and act claims, and updates outcomes and evidence for Slack, Telegram, GitHub, Linear, and the grants guide.
The remaining issues affect audit accuracy and evidence quality, not runtime connector behavior. The PR is otherwise bounded, but the table should be corrected before being treated as authoritative.

Do not record incomplete walks as WALKED.
WALKED requires a non-author production walk with both 390- and 1440-pixel screenshots. Rows 111, 112, 116, 119, and 120 report no screenshots. Row 125 reports only a 1440-pixel screenshot. Row 111 also states that the act clause was not walked.
Complete the missing walks. For row 111, remove or narrow the claim and mark the removed claim CUT unless the act path is walked. For rows 112, 116, 119, 120, and 125, do not remove claims solely because screenshots are missing: the table permits TRUE when the cited file:line evidence establishes the claim. Restore those verdicts to TRUE where applicable, or complete the walk.

Gate at e521efd, checked against main's page, the TASK-014 walk README and the D146 Linear walk in launch-1028.md.
(2) No-loss: pass. The first-touch rows map 1–11 as the PR says. Every row either walk passed (1, 3, 4, 7, 9, 10, 11) stays on the page, and only rows 2, 5, 6 and 8 are cut. Nothing else on main's page changed.
(1) Every sentence backed: fails on one sentence.
"Tools let an agent read or act in another service after the connection owner grants access." The only walk behind it is the D146 Linear grant: writeMode read, one linear.list_teams call. Your own claim-table row says "Read walked, act not." The page still says "or act". Fix: drop "or act" (for example, "Tools let an agent read another service after the connection owner grants access").
(3) Nothing implies Airtable, GitHub tools or channel bridging work: fails on GitHub.
The same "Tools let an agent … after the connection owner grants access" sentence sits right before "GitHub and Linear are tools". Together they say a GitHub grant gives an agent tool access, and row 8 (the GitHub grant) was cut because it wasn't walked. Scoping the sentence to read fixes "act" but not this. Name Linear as the tool walked today, or say GitHub tool grants aren't available yet.
The GitHub row links to /integrations/github, which this PR doesn't touch. That page still has the full grant flow ("The connection owner selects Add on the GitHub row … then selects Grant") and the "instance's own repository" scope that main's connectors page already cut as not walked. A first-touch reader is one click from the claims this PR removes. Either drop the link or trim that page in this PR to the walked "an admin installs it first" line.
Airtable: pass. The page doesn't name it.
Channel bridging: pass. Only the walked UI grouping ("Slack and Telegram are channels") remains, and the Slack and Telegram links are gone. Non-blocking: the frontmatter description is still "Channels and tools for your pods".
…014)
The tools sentence now says read only, because the one walked grant is
read-mode. The channel line names Linear as a tool you can grant today
and no longer calls GitHub a tool. The GitHub App link is dropped from
this page; that integration page's grant flow is a follow-up.
The claim table gets a CUT row for the act half and a WALKED row for the
Linear sentence. The GitHub grant sentence is not restated: the grant
path exists in code, so "not available" is not a claim the walk backs.

Re-gate at 7fa4a6d, against my HOLD at e521efd (5674669833).
"or act": resolved. The intro now says "Tools let an agent read another service after the connection owner grants access." That matches the D146 Linear walk: a read-mode grant and one linear.list_teams call. The "act" half is now its own CUT row in the claim table.
GitHub implied as a grantable tool: resolved. "GitHub and Linear are tools" became "Linear is a tool you can grant today", and the GitHub row is no longer linked. Nothing on the page now says, or is one click from, a GitHub tool grant. The GitHub row keeps only the walked TASK-014 row 7 ("an admin does this once").
The delta adds one new sentence, "Linear is a tool you can grant today". It is backed by the D146 walk (grant_1106fdd8, read mode, made in the Connectors UI by a non-author) and by the file:line in its new claim-table row. No other new claim.
Notes, not blocking:
The page does not mark GitHub tool grants as "not yet available". The claim-table row explains why: the route exists at grants.ts:346. The page stays silent on GitHub tools instead, which meets the bar. The PR summary describing the page as saying "not yet available" is inaccurate.
The walked row 4 half "GitHub and Linear are tools" is now narrowed. That is the intended fix for point 2, not a loss.
"today" will go stale. Re-check it at the next connectors walk.
At this head CodeRabbit and the backend/service test jobs are still pending. This gate covers content only.

Correct the GitHub App grant evidence.
The row says the grant sentence was removed from the intro. docs-site/concepts/connectors.mdx Lines [6-7] still contain “after the connection owner grants access.” The change removes the GitHub-row wording and the act claim, but it does not remove the generic owner-grant clause. Update the evidence to describe the actual diff, or change the page before recording this statement.
As per path instructions, documentation claims must match the repository.

Seven first-touch rows were WALKED without a 390 and 1440 screenshot pair.
The table rule makes a marked row TRUE on file:line until its walk lands,
so these now carry TRUE. Each walk note stays in the evidence column.
Row 113 cites the channel providers (ADD_PLATFORMS, :193-194) and the
"Connect a channel" heading (:1684). Its earlier :175 is the tool-only
type set, which does not show Slack or Telegram as channels.

Correct only the non-probative citations.
backend/routes/grants.ts:320 checks connection ownership and :430 creates a grant. Neither identifies the read behavior in row 111. Cite the read-grant or broker-consumption path instead.
For rows 114 and 121, hostedMcpConnect.ts:351 identifies the start route, but :697 only registers the callback. Cite the successful callback branch at :683–694 and the Linear entry definition at backend/integrations/hostedMcp/linear.ts:80–95.
The screenshot pair is required to change TRUE to WALKED; it is not required to keep a row TRUE under line 105.
The other claimed citation errors are refuted: V2ConnectorsPage.tsx:193–194 lists Telegram and Slack, :1684 exists, the GitHub App route includes adminAuth, and grants.ts:480–501 is the revocation handler.

Exact-head re-stamp at 8e09004. Since my PASS at 7fa4a6d, the only file changed is docs/audits/claim-table.md (12 lines in, 12 out), and the page is unchanged.
635bbc8, TRUE relabels. Six rows changed from WALKED to TRUE: tools read, Slack/Telegram channels, Linear grantable, GitHub admin install, Linear connect and Linear read grant. The grants guide row also changed. Each now says "no screenshots" (the grants row says "1440 only") and that it becomes WALKED when the 390/1440 shots land. That is correct: these rows lacked the screenshots that WALKED requires. The evidence is otherwise unchanged. The channels file:line moved to V2ConnectorsPage.tsx:193–194, :1684, and at this head those lines are the telegram/slack channel entries and the "Connect a channel" label. Downgrading a label loses nothing.
8e09004, #2817 attributions. Rows 117, 120, 123, 124 and 126 now say "Removed from main by #2817 (e00b5c8)". e00b5c8 is #2817 on main. Diffing docs-site/concepts/connectors.mdx across it, all five removals are real: "then confirm the connection", "limited to the instance's own repository", the free-account sentence, "Other tools", and the "lists connectors that are unavailable… A listed row is not a working connection" paragraph. Each is absent at this head.
No new unbacked sentence, and nothing lost against main.
