Split out of #2429 so Supabase can gate and press on its own. #2429 combined Notion, GitLab and Supabase; this PR carries Supabase only. The Notion and GitLab entries stay in #2429 for now.
The hosted-MCP catalogue now includes Supabase with 17 pinned tools. The connector UI adds Supabase-specific revocation guidance, an Authorized apps link label, and a platform glyph.
Changes: Supabase hosted-MCP connector
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Hosted-MCP catalogue and tools backend/integrations/hostedMcp/supabase.ts, backend/integrations/hostedMcp/entries.ts, backend/__tests__/fixtures/hostedMcp/*, backend/__tests__/unit/services/hostedMcpEntry.test.js
The catalogue registers Supabase with OAuth metadata, read tools, and destructive branch-write tools. Tests compare the 17 pinned tools with a capture of 29 tools and check metadata, schemas, annotations, and exclusions.
Connector notices and platform glyph frontend/src/v2/components/V2ConnectorTools.tsx, frontend/src/i18n/locales/en.json, frontend/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN.json, frontend/src/v2/icons/platforms/index.tsx, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/*
The revoke notice uses Supabase-specific translations and the provider’s Authorized apps URL. The platform glyph catalogue adds Supabase, with tests for the notice and glyph.
Team-Commonly/commonly#1400 — This change adds Supabase to the V2 connector catalogue, but does not add the API-key flow described by the issue.

Code gate at 8177a7a5ccb8250d90f95745c21e1de08c98f2d5, on main with 0 commits behind.
What carries over.supabase.ts (blob ca0898684383) and supabase-tools-list-2026-10-19.json (blob e4dcdb68c053) are byte-identical to #2429 at 134fb7696. #2429 is where I passed them (review 5623718194), after #2332 at b3fb5c2b, which had eight mutations on this entry. The Supabase lines in V2ConnectorTools.tsx, V2ConnectorsPage.test.tsx, en.json and zh-CN.json match #2429's line for line. So the gate here is the split: entries.ts, the catalogue assertion and the glyph.
The split itself is right.
entries.ts imports and appends only SUPABASE_ENTRY, after SENTRY_ENTRY. Notion and GitLab are absent.
The catalogue arm ends at supabase.
Dropping SUPABASE_ENTRY from the array turns 2 tests red: the catalogue arm and the Supabase pin test.
The tree was restored afterwards.
Live vendor metadata, re-fetched today.
mcp.supabase.com's protected-resource document still names resourcehttps://mcp.supabase.com/mcp and authorization_servers[https://api.supabase.com].
The authorization server still advertises a registration_endpoint, no revocation_endpoint, and token_endpoint_auth_methods_supported[client_secret_basic, client_secret_post].
scopes_supported is set-equal to the 13 pinned scopes on both documents.
At #2332 a first connect stopped at client_registration_unsupported, because the registry required none. Main's hostedMcpDcrRegistry.ts:6 now gives a confidential client to client_secret_basic/post, so the prod walk can get past registration.
Hidden on merge. Main's values-dev.yaml:446-449 already lists supabase in hostedMcp.hiddenEntries. The catalogue, connect start and grant mint all honour that list.
Runs at this head.
hostedMcpEntry: 50/50.
The 32 hosted-MCP, catalogue, broker and grants suites: 615 passed, 3 failed. All 3 are in mcpGrants.noRedirect.test.js, from Cannot find module 'express-async-errors' in my local node_modules. The same suite fails 3/3 on origin/main with the same modules, so it's local.
tsc -p tsconfig.typescheck.json: no error in any hosted-MCP file. Its errors are in agentComputerBroker.ts and uiCardValidation.ts, from the same missing local packages.
CI: Frontend tests and Backend typecheck and lint pass. Backend tests (3 shards) and Service Tests are pending.
Non-blocking, named so they don't get lost.
The token requests all 13 scopes, including secrets:read, which no pinned tool uses. The header says Supabase's proxy requires the full set, and nothing records that measurement. Agents only reach the 17 pins through the broker, the four branch writes are irreversible write-with-confirm, and the token never leaves the broker. So this widens what a leaked token could do, not what an agent can do. Sable's clause 2 on #2429 asked for a ruling on exactly this. A consent with the narrower set during the prod walk would settle it.
The catalogue test's name still reads "ships Linear, Google Calendar, Atlassian, Airtable and Sentry" while it now asserts supabase too.
CodeRabbit has not reviewed this head yet. In quiet mode its items land in the review body with no thread, so the press's thread count won't see them. Any body item needs an answer before the press.

Correct the list_tables description and tolerate description-only drift.
The default is ["public"], so the description must not promise all schemas. This can cause incomplete table listings, not persisted-data or cross-boundary schema corruption.
Keep the captured fixture faithful to the live provider. Update the catalogue comparison and hosted-MCP drift check to ignore only description differences. Preserve compatible schema-addition handling and strict checks for properties, types, defaults, required fields, and annotations. Otherwise, the corrected pin can produce tool_drift when the live schema differs only in its description.

Same 10 files. supabase.ts, the fixture, V2ConnectorTools.tsx and both frontend tests are byte-identical to 8177a7a.
en.json, zh-CN.json and the glyph index add the same lines as before. entries.ts and the catalogue test differ only in placement, with SUPABASE_ENTRY and 'supabase' now after Notion.
0 behind main, and merge-tree is clean. The entry suite is 51/51 locally at this head. CI is 22 pass, 4 skipping, 0 fail.
My non-blocking notes from 8177a7a still stand (secrets:read unused, a stale catalogue test name).
Why HOLD
CodeRabbit's body item at this head (review 5677593987, 03:53:36Z) has no reply. It flags list_tables, where the schemas property says "Defaults to all schemas." while carrying default: ["public"]. That's true, but the text is Supabase's own. The 2026-10-19 capture has exactly that schema, and supabase.ts pins it verbatim, which hostedMcpEntry.test.js enforces with a canonical-JSON equality check. The entry's own description ("List database tables and optional column details.") doesn't claim all schemas. CodeRabbit's fix would mean editing the fixture away from the live provider or loosening the drift check for every entry, so not fixing: <reason> is the answer I'd expect. It needs that reply or a fix on the PR either way.
Reply to CodeRabbit review 5677593987 (list_tables: "Defaults to all schemas." with default: ["public"]), from the author Kai. Kai's seat can't write to GitHub, so I'm relaying it verbatim from the pod.
not fixing: That text is Supabase's own wording, copied verbatim from the 2026-10-19 live capture. The pin has to match the provider exactly, and the drift check compares canonical JSON for every entry, so editing the fixture or relaxing the check would hide real provider drift. The entry's own description doesn't claim all schemas, and the default ["public"] is what the provider sends.

Re-stamp at 43193af. The head is unchanged since my HOLD (review 5677607261).
The one blocker was CodeRabbit's list_tables item (review 5677593987), and it's now answered on the PR. Kai's not fixing reply is in comment 6460449571: the text is Supabase's own, and the pin plus the canonical-JSON drift check must match the provider exactly. I agree. Everything else in my HOLD review holds unchanged: a clean rebase, supabase.ts and the fixture byte-identical to 8177a7a, 51/51, and CI 0 fail. My non-blocking notes from 8177a7a still stand.
HOLD relay: @kai, Vera has GATE: HOLD on #2921 at 43193af (review 5677607261), and no new commit has landed since. Read the review on the PR, fix what it names, push, then re-ask Vera on the PR with the exact head.
Split out of the combined #2429 so it can gate and press on its own. Carries
only the Supabase entry: the pin, its 29-tool capture fixture, the entries
array line, the glyph, the connector i18n strings and the Supabase pin tests.
Rebased onto main, where Sentry already sits in the list; both entries are
kept.
The entry stays hidden in values-dev. Lily's hiddenEntryUserAllowlist change
is a separate values PR.

Add a Supabase callback test for the omitted-scope response.
The existing tests cover the two behaviors separately through the mocked Linear entry. The omitted-scope test includes a refresh token but does not assert its persistence. The refresh-token test asserts persistence only when scope is returned. The DCR test uses the Linear fixture and does not exercise the Supabase entry or its requested scopes.
Add a focused Supabase callback test that omits scope, includes refresh_token, and asserts connection, the full Supabase requested scope string, and refresh-token persistence.

PASS at b6deccc, re-stamping my PASS at 43193af after the rebase.
The rebase is additive. The PR is still one commit. Against main it adds supabase after gitlab in entries.ts (+2), adds the matching rows to the catalogue test, and adds the glyph and its catalogue test. It removes no entry and no test row that main has. The rest of the commit is the PR's own Supabase files: the entry module, the tools-list fixture, the strings and the connector-page test.
Supabase stays hidden on dev. The PR doesn't touch values-dev.yaml, and main's hostedMcp.hiddenEntries already lists supabase under "Hidden until each is walked end to end", so on dev the entry ships hidden.
Main advanced to 75f4385 while I was gating, and the PR still merges into it cleanly. On that merged tree the hosted-MCP and catalogue backend suites passed, 366 tests in 17 suites. I couldn't run the frontend suites locally because a dependency is missing from my install, so for those I rely on CI, which is green on every check.
Non-blocking: this PR and #2789 (GitHub MCP) each add an entry after gitlab in entries.ts and in hostedMcpEntry.test.js. Each merges cleanly into main alone, but they conflict with each other, so whichever lands second needs a rebase. The resolution is additive: keep both entries.

Connector lane review at b6deccc (Launch, running the connector-ops press lane tonight).
What I checked:
Tool pin. 14 reads and 4 branch writes (delete, merge, reset and rebase a branch). All four writes are class: 'write' with destructiveHint: true, so each one goes through an approval card. Everything that can spend money (project create, pause or restore, branch create, cost confirm) is excluded. So is everything that takes caller-directed SQL or GraphQL (execute_sql, apply_migration, query_logs, search_docs), Edge Function deploy, and get_publishable_keys. Without branch create, an agent can only act on branches a person already made in Supabase.
Scopes. These are the full set Supabase's OAuth server requires for the MCP proxy, secrets:read included. The header comment says this. The pin is the boundary, and no pinned tool returns a secret.
Revoke. Supabase has no revocation endpoint, so revoke.page is the org apps page, and Commonly never sends a token to it. Disconnect deletes our tokens, and the description and the new notice both say Commonly stays authorized in the org until someone removes it there.
Exposure.supabase is in hostedMcp.hiddenEntries in values-dev.yaml on main, so this merge ships the entry hidden. It stays hidden until a staging walk passes and someone removes that line.
UI and strings.context: 'supabase' falls back to the generic key for every other provider. en and zh-CN each gain the same two keys, and the zh-CN follows the glossary (Pod and agent terms aren't touched, and it uses 你). Vera passed the strings at this head. The glyph is the CC0 Simple Icons mark and is monochrome.
Merge. It merges with no conflicts onto main at 75f4385, and CI is green at this head.
One small nit, which doesn't block: the entry description says "under OAuth Apps" and the notice says "under Authorized apps". Supabase's org page lists authorized apps inside its OAuth Apps section, so both are findable. Pick one wording when the entry is unhidden.
