TASK-757 item 7. Draws the DM and agent room (/v2/pods/:podType/:roomId) into d215 as #s-dm, so the builder can lift markup and CSS the same way as the other surfaces.

States (each at 1440 and 390, light and dark)

  • Conversation, and first open with three starters
  • Waiting for the agent, and timed out
  • Agent not running: never connected (owner sees commonly agent run <name> with a copy key) and gone dark (no command)
  • Read-only observer of an agent DM, and the bot pair's empty state

Deviations from live, called out in the notes

  • The waiting dot is ink, not the success green (no green in the identity).
  • The command block gets a copy key (32 at 1440, 44 at 390); live is user-select: all only.
  • The inspector is not redrawn; it is the pod chat inspector, unchanged.

Checks

  • 16 frames render with the composer or read-only banner in place above the tab bar at 390.
  • No horizontal overflow in any frame (measured per frame).
  • Docs-only change: docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Adds #s-dm: conversation, first open with starters, waiting and timed out,
agent not running (never connected with copy-key command, gone dark), and the
read-only observer of an agent DM with its empty state. 8 states at 1440 and
390, light and dark.

Walkthrough

The D215 design page adds responsive desktop and phone mockups for agent rooms and DMs. It shows starter actions, waiting and timed-out states, agent connection states, and read-only conversations. Supporting styles, a copy icon, and a DM room navigation link are also added.

Stack the frame pairs on narrow screens.

At a 390px CSS viewport, this two-column grid makes each frame about 160px wide. The scaling script then reduces its 13px text to about 5px. Use a single-column layout at the mobile breakpoint for each DM frame pair. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Review comment at @docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html at line 645:
Update the inline grid layout for the DM frame pairs in the artboard so it
switches from two columns to one at the mobile breakpoint. Keep the existing
two-column layout on wider screens so 390px viewports display each frame at a
readable width.

Include the first-connect prerequisites.

On a machine without a saved agent token or COMMONLY_AGENT_TOKEN, commonly agent run fern exits without connecting. Direct the owner to the secure connect flow, or state the prerequisites alongside the command. Do not put a token in the artboard. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Update the disconnected-agent notice in the .rstat and .rcmd area to direct
owners through the secure connect flow or state that an agent token must already
be saved or supplied via COMMONLY_AGENT_TOKEN before running the displayed
command; do not include a token in the artboard.

/v2/pods/:podType/:roomId renders ChatRoom. The depicted shell uses /v2/pods/:podId and V2Thread. Update the route label so implementation work targets the correct surface. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Update the route label in the “Agent room and agent DM” heading to show
/v2/pods/:podId and identify V2Thread as the rendered surface, replacing the
incorrect ChatRoom route.

The DM section's eight frame grids were inline styles, so at 390 each
phone frame shrank to ~160px with ~5px text. They now use a .pair class
that stacks like .row2. The section's route label named the legacy
ChatRoom route; v2 serves agent-room and agent-dm at /v2/pods/:podId.

Docs-only (Tier 0) review of the DM frames, rendered in Chromium at 1440, 1024 and 390.

  • The frames cover the states R07 needs: healthy, first open, waiting (ink dot, not green), timed out, never connected (owner gets the command), gone dark (no command), and the read-only observer banner. The notes give the reasoning for each. These match the live behaviour I'll be lifting from.
  • Merged main (one TOC conflict: the DM room link sits beside main's new surface links; every other line verified by three-way multiset).
  • CodeRabbit, triaged:
    • Route label: fixed. v2 serves both pod types at /v2/pods/:podId (V2PodShellGate); pods/:podType/:roomId is the legacy ChatRoom.
    • Frame pairs on narrow screens: fixed. The pair grids now use a .pair class that stacks like .row2, so phone frames render at 340px instead of about 160px. No overflow at any width.
    • First-connect prerequisites for commonly agent run fern: skipped. The frame mirrors the command the live product already shows the owner. Changing what the product tells a first-time owner is a product question, not an artboard fix, and it goes with the R07 lift.

GATE: PASS

Minor follow-up Show the setup prerequisite before offering the run command.

Show the setup prerequisite before offering the run command.

If an owner copies commonly agent run fern on a fresh machine, the CLI exits because it has no saved agent token or Connect-page environment variables. The mockup presents the command as the step that connects Fern. Link to the Connect flow or show the prerequisite before the copy key; do not put a token in the artboard. Apply the same correction to the phone frame on Line 870. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Review comment at @docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html at line 865:
Update the disconnected-agent setup guidance in the “Gone dark” artboard and its
phone-frame counterpart so it states the required Connect-page setup
prerequisite before presenting the `commonly agent run fern` command and copy
button. Link to the Connect flow or describe the required environment setup, and
do not include a token.

Minor follow-up Correct the route label for the conversation shells.

839-839: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win

Correct the route label for the conversation shells.

The artboards show ChatRoom, which is served at /v2/pods/:podType/:roomId. /v2/pods/:podId serves the separate V2Layout shell. The incorrect label can direct implementation and review work to the wrong surface.

Update the route label in the “Agent room and agent DM” heading to use the
ChatRoom route `/v2/pods/:podType/:roomId` instead of the V2Layout route
`/v2/pods/:podId`.
