feat(v2): Connect, drawn into d215 and lifted from it - #3211
Draws the Connect page (/v2/connect) into the d215 artboard, then lifts the page from that frame into its own sheet. Same method as BYO (#3198).
Commits
2e5532a, the frame. Adds an #s-connect section with a connect frame at 1440 and 390. It shows the member view in its main state, drawn in the page's own class names and modelled on the connectors surface:
Lane 01: the CLI and Claude Code MCP code cards with Copy keys, "Add Commonly to Cursor", the Cursor rule card, and "Manage connected CLI devices".
Lane 02: "Set up an agent" as the dark key and "Manage installed agents" as the plain key.
The frame is registered in measure_after and targets.json. Not drawn: the admin-only lane 03, which uses only drawn classes, and the "Copied" label.
01dcf18, the lift. New frontend/src/v2/components/V2ConnectPage.css, imported by the page and scoped to .v2-connect. It removes 182 lines and the zh letter-spacing entry from v2.css. The only TSX change is the import.
34ae668.targets.json connect rows measured from the artboard instead of estimated, and a tighter selector pin.

No contrast change was needed: the grey code labels measure 4.76:1 light and 5.5:1 dark.
Dropped as dead, because nothing in frontend/src renders them: .v2-connect__lane-heading p, .v2-connect__note and its code rule, and .v2-connect__cta:disabled (the CTA is a <Link>). Hover rules aren't drawn, so they moved with their old values.
Checked in a real browser at the head
Local build of this branch against staging, signed in as the staging test seat.
1440 and 390, light and dark: the page never scrolls sideways, both lanes render, and there are no page errors.
Phone controls: each Copy key takes taps across 44px through its ring. The links, "Set up an agent" and "Manage installed agents" are 44px boxes.
Copy: shows "Copied" after a click, on this branch and on commonly.me alike.
Artboard re-measured with measure_after.js: connect is 20 helper words at both widths, scroll 1.09 at 1440 and 1.77 at 390. The run also produced a different number for byo-handoff-390, which this PR doesn't touch, so that row is left unchanged.
Review
One round, by a fresh-context reviewer given only the diff and the frame. No blockers. It confirmed:
the dead rules really are unrendered;
the CSS matches the frame value for value;
every token is defined in light and both dark paths;
only .v2-root focus-visible outranks the lifted rules, which is intended;
the Copy ring is clipped by nothing and doesn't reach the label.
Taken: measure the connect targets, and pin the phone key rule's full selector.
Left as nits: CTA hover is flat ink rather than a darker gradient, and the dark Copy hover changes only the border. Both are undrawn states that moved unchanged.
Not touched here: the page has no t() at all, so "Copy" and "Copied" stay English in zh-CN. That needs its own strings pass.
Reverse verification
Each fix was removed and v2-layout-invariants plus v2-type-floors were run, then the fix was restored and both suites were run again:

phone 44px rule sizes both keys removed -> Tests: 1 failed, 308 passed, 309 total
restored -> Tests: 309 passed, 309 total
The full frontend suite passes: 207 suites, 2,261 tests. eslint reports 0 errors and tsc no frontend errors.
Frames use the page's own v2-connect__* class names, scoped to .v2-connect, so
the lift is a copy; the connectors section is the visual reference. Lanes are
bordered panels, each code block a panel like BYO's command, Copy the same key,
the agent lane's acts the ink key and a plain key. The admin lane and the
Copied label are not drawn; they share the drawn classes.
measure_after now knows connect (/v2/connect); targets.json gains its two rows,
the existing 18 unchanged. The two connect rows were computed by hand from the
frame's box model (no browser was run for this commit): 20 helper words at both
widths, scroll 1.08 at 1440 and 1.77 at 390. Re-run `node measure_after.js` to
replace them with measured values.

The page's rules leave v2.css for frontend/src/v2/components/V2ConnectPage.css,
imported by V2ConnectPage.tsx and scoped to .v2-connect, the page's root. They
are the frame's Connect rules (d215 index.html, s-connect) with the same
selectors and values; .app.m rules sit in the page's @media (max-width: 760px).
v2.css loses the whole Connect block (182 lines) and the one v2-connect__ entry
in the zh letter-spacing list. No dark-mode override named Connect.
Token map (as R04): --sf -> --v2-surface; --p -> --v2-bg-subtle; --d ->
--v2-border-soft; --mu -> --v2-text-muted; --se -> --v2-text-secondary; --ink
-> --v2-text-primary; --c-text -> --v2-accent-text; --fill-a/-b/-edge ->
--v2-fill-a/-b/-edge; --on-fill -> --v2-on-fill; --key-a/-b/-edge ->
--v2-key-a/-b/-edge; --sh-key -> --v2-key-inset; --f-display/-body/-mono ->
--v2-font-display/--v2-font/--v2-font-mono.
Markup unchanged: every handler, aria attribute and string stays (the page has
no testids or t() strings).
Exceptions taken:
- phone: Copy (a 28px key with a 1px border) gets an invisible ::after ring,
inset -9px from its 26px padding box, for a 44px hit area.
- contrast: none needed. Muted mono labels on the code panel are 4.76:1 light
and 5.5:1 dark.
Carried unchanged as not drawn: Copy/secondary hover (border-strong,
surface-hover, text-primary), CTA hover (ink-hover), link hover underline, and
the zh letter-spacing reset for the lane h2, now in the page's sheet.
Dropped as dead: .v2-connect__lane-heading p and .v2-connect__note (+ its code
rule), which no markup renders (V2ConnectPage.test asserts none exist), and
.v2-connect__cta:disabled (the CTA is a link).
Tests: v2-layout-invariants re-points the Cursor rule header pins (span
min-width 0, code overflow-wrap anywhere) and the B3 primary-act pin at
V2ConnectPage.css; the latter now reads the frame's ink key (fill gradient,
on-fill text). New describe 'Connect lifted from the d215 frame (R05)': sheet
import + no Connect rule left in v2.css; the phone Copy ring; 44px phone links
and acts; every negative-tracking selector in the sheet has a zh reset there
(the v2.css zh test scans only v2.css). v2-type-floors scans
V2ConnectPage.css; .v2-connect__number leaves its allowlist (now mono 11.5px).

- targets.json: the connect rows are now measured from the artboard
(measure_after.js): 20 helper words at both widths, scroll 1.09 at 1440

- The phone 44px rule is pinned with its whole selector list, so it fails if
the secondary key drops out of it.

A fresh-context reviewer read 5cde073..01dcf18 with only the diff and the new frame, and found no blockers. It confirmed:
The TSX changes only by the stylesheet import.
The three dropped rules are unrendered anywhere in frontend/src.
The CSS matches the frame value for value.
Every token resolves in light and both dark paths.
Only .v2-root focus-visible outranks the lifted rules, which is intended.
The Copy ring is unclipped.
Its one should-fix (the connect targets were hand-estimated) is fixed in 34ae668 by measuring them from the artboard. The same commit tightens one selector pin. Every fix is reverse-verified in the PR body.
Checked in a browser at this head: 1440 and 390, light and dark, with phone tap areas measured and Copy→Copied matching prod. The full frontend suite passes: 2,261 tests.
The Connect surface gains desktop and mobile design mockups, page-scoped styling, and measurement targets. The artboard includes CLI, MCP, Cursor, and agent setup content. The measurement script now includes the /v2/connect route.
The artboard adds desktop and mobile Connect mockups with CLI, MCP, Cursor, and agent setup content. It adds a table-of-contents link and measurement targets for both sizes.

Connect styles move from v2.css to a page-scoped stylesheet imported by the page. Responsive and hover styles are added. Tests check stylesheet ownership, mobile control dimensions, CTA styling, Chinese heading tracking, and type floors.
Team-Commonly/commonly#1400: This PR adds the v2 Connect surface and its CLI, MCP, Cursor, and agent setup content, matching the issue’s objective.
Merge Risk: Low · up to 2d33f
The artboard can hide Connect content, and admin measurements may report false failures. Layout and route regression coverage also remain incomplete; these are bounded issues for owner follow-up.

Guard the Connect layout rules.
The layout test does not pin the phone grid or command wrapping. (raw.githubusercontent.com) Without wrapping, a long API URL can be clipped by the card’s overflow: hidden. Add presence tests for both rules in v2-layout-invariants.test.ts.
As per path instructions: “Load-bearing layout CSS (overflow, scroll containment, flex sizing) needs a presence test in frontend/src/v2/tests/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts.”

Update the layout invariants tests to assert the phone-grid layout rule and the
command-wrapping declarations on `.v2-connect .v2-connect__code-card pre`,
including `white-space: pre-wrap` and `overflow-wrap: anywhere`; keep the checks
focused on these load-bearing CSS rules.
Add regression coverage for the production Connect descriptor.
The changed test checks only target counts. It does not inspect the production descriptor list. Removing or misrouting the connect descriptor can therefore leave the test passing.
Export the descriptor factory and assert that connect maps to /v2/connect. This covers descriptor removal or misrouting without claiming that the current production route is broken.

Unverified finding
Verification ran but could not confirm this finding. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
Allow the Connect frames to scroll.
Both frames inherit overflow: hidden on their content wrappers, so wheel and touch scrolling cannot reveal the clipped content. The measured content exceeds both frames, particularly at 390px, where the second lane is below the visible area. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Give the Connect frame wrappers overflow-y: auto and verify that both lanes are reachable at both widths.

Re-gate at 2d33f72. The only changes since the PASS at 34ae668 are two merges of main: b83866d (board lift) and 2d33f72 (#3209 First-run frame, #3210 chat lift).
Conflicts were all two-sided additions: the artboard TOC and sections, the measure_after surface list and target counts (now 28), targets.json, the invariant describes, and the v2-type-floors sheet list (main's readV2Css() plus the BYO, board and Connect sheets). Each side was kept whole. v2.css, the invariant tests and targets.json match exactly when checked three ways. The only other difference is the merged TOC line.

Allow reviewers to scroll the Connect frames.
Both frame bodies inherit overflow: hidden. The 390 target has a scroll ratio of 1.77, so the Cursor rule and agent lane are clipped and cannot be reached by scrolling. The 1440 frame also clips overflow. Make both Connect frame bodies vertically scrollable. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Account for the admin lane when measuring Connect.
The artboard marks the target as Member · 390 and excludes the admin lane. V2ConnectPage adds the Instance keys lane for admins, while the production measurement accepts any COMMONLY_TOKEN and uses the shared connect-390 target. An admin run can therefore produce a false MISS. Use a member session for this target or define role-specific targets.
