Follow-up to #3353. This PR makes a key connection grantable: the grant draft for a pasted-key connection now starts with that key's agent. It also takes the other gaps CodeRabbit found in its later reviews of #3353: 5759361653, 5759512235 and 5759653715.

What changes

  • The grant draft starts with the key's own agent. The grant route refuses a grant on an operator-key connection unless its audience is exactly the bound agent (operatorKeyAudienceRefusal, routes/grants.ts:419). The draft used to start with every agent in the pod, so in a multi-agent pod the first Grant was refused.
    • One helper, boundAgentOf(entry, connectionId) in toolModel.ts, returns the connection's agentId on an operator-key entry and null otherwise. OAuth and GitHub drafts are unchanged.
    • Opening a draft picks the first pod and key connection where that key's agent has a seat, and starts the audience as [bound]. "Grant again" keeps its grant's pod and key.
    • Changing the pod or the connection keeps the audience at the bound agent, limited to that pod's seats.
    • A key connection shows only the bound agent's checkbox, with "Only {{agent}} can use this key." If that agent isn't in the selected pod, a note says so and Grant stays disabled.
  • Key connections are named by agent in the picker. Before, a key connection rendered as /. It now uses the agent's name, falling back to "Key".
  • The granted drawer shows where to make a key. A granted entry's drawer shows the key form without the ungranted offer, so it had lost connectNotice and the access-page link. A new renderKeyGuidance puts both beside the form.
  • Agent-dm installs no longer count as ownership. runtimeIdentityOwnership drops agent-dm installs, so the picker now ignores agent-dm seats on both sides. An agent the viewer installed only in an agent-dm pod isn't offered. Another person's agent-dm install doesn't hide an agent either.
  • A stronger second-agent test. It now refreshes into a catalogue holding both keys, and asserts both Disconnect labels and that no key form is left.
  • Two non-blocking nits from feat(connectors): an operator-key connector takes a pasted key per agent #3353's gate: a comment is back in place, and the drawer test now also asserts the grant row.

zh-CN. The voice and terminology passes ran in parallel, then I adjudicated:

key draft after reason
tools.keyOnlyAgent 只有 {{agent}} 能用这个密钥。 只有 {{agent}} 可以使用这个密钥。 Same concept, same verb as mayUse / nobodyMayUse
tools.keyAgentNotInPod {{agent}} 不在这个 Pod 里。 {{agent}} 不在这个 Pod 中。 Matches mentionNotInPod and noSeats
tools.keyAgentNotInPodUnnamed 这个密钥的智能体不在这个 Pod 里。 密钥所属的智能体不在这个 Pod 中。 密钥的智能体 is a calque, and 这个…这个 is clunky

Tests

  • ConnectorsPage.operatorKey.test.tsx has 32 tests. They cover:
    • a multi-agent pod, where Grant posts audience: [SCOUT];
    • switching to Reed's key, which shows the note until the pod changes and then posts [REED];
    • picker labels;
    • a key whose agent is in no pod;
    • an OAuth draft, which is unchanged and posts every seat;
    • drawer guidance and the grant row;
    • agent-dm exclusion on both sides;
    • the second-agent refresh;
    • zh-CN.
  • The full src/v2 and src/i18n run: 203 suites and 2,637 tests pass, rebased on main after feat(connectors): an operator-key connector takes a pasted key per agent #3353.
  • Mutations, each restored afterwards:
    • an all-seats starting audience fails 2 tests;
    • dropping the agent-dm filter fails 1;
    • dropping the drawer guidance fails 1;
    • an unchanged catalogue after submit fails 1.

Not in this PR

  • Choosing a key doesn't move the draft to that agent's pod. It shows the note instead.
  • Re-pasting a key for an agent that already has one.

…gent and names keys by agent

The grant route refuses any grant on an operator-key connection unless its
audience is exactly the bound agent, but the draft started with every seat in
the pod, so the first Grant in a multi-agent pod was refused. The connection
picker also labelled key connections "/" since they have no owner or repo.

One rule, boundAgentOf(entry, connectionId), now drives the draft: it starts in
a pod where a keyed agent sits (Grant again keeps its pod and the key it was
minted on), the audience is [bound] intersected with the pod's seats on open,
pod change and connection change, the checkbox list offers only the bound
agent, and a bound agent outside the pod gets a short note with Grant off.
Key connections are named by their agent in the picker, falling back to "Key".
OAuth and GitHub drafts are unchanged.

Adjudicated from the voice and terminology passes:
- 可以使用 matches mayUse and nobodyMayUse.

…l is not ownership

From CodeRabbit review 5759512235 on #3353:
- A granted entry's drawer shows the key form without the ungranted
  offer, so it lost connectNotice and the access-page link. A new
  renderKeyGuidance puts both beside the form. The drawer also calls
  renderKeyForm once, not twice.
- runtimeIdentityOwnership drops agent-dm installs, so the picker now
  ignores agent-dm seats on both sides. An agent the viewer installed
  only in an agent-dm pod isn't offered, and another person's agent-dm
  install doesn't hide an agent.
- Moved a stale comment back to renderEntryActions. The drawer test also
  asserts that the grant row still renders.

… refresh

From CodeRabbit review 5759653715 on #3353. The refreshed catalogue now
holds both keys. The test asserts both Disconnect labels and that no
agent is left to key. With an unchanged catalogue after submit, it
fails.

Explanation

The title names the main change: a key connection's grant draft now starts with the key's bound agent. The changeset matches this: boundAgentOf helper, draft audience starts as [bound], and pod/connection selection is limited to that agent. The title is specific, follows the conventional commit form, and is one sentence of 10 words.

Explanation

The description states the purpose (grant drafts for pasted-key connections start with the key's agent) and lists the changes that match the raw summary: boundAgentOf helper, draft pod and connection selection, the bound-agent-only checkbox and note, key labels in the picker, drawer key guidance via renderKeyGuidance, agent-dm exclusion in ownership checks, the zh-CN translation keys, and the tests. It is detailed and on topic.

…obody

From #3354's review:
- When a key grant's key is no longer in the catalogue, Grant again or
  Change access used to fall back to the first connection, which could
  be another agent's key. That would mint for that agent and, for a live
  grant, revoke this one. The draft now starts with no connection and an
  empty audience, so Grant stays disabled.
- On a key connection, selectedAgentIds now also intersects with the
  bound agent, as defence in depth beside the reset paths.
- The "Only {{agent}} can use this key" hint falls back to "an agent"
  when the seat has no name.
- New tests: Grant again keeps the key it was minted on when that isn't
  the first key, and a gone key starts with nobody. Each fails without
  its fix.

Review round (D218) at 7a69772. This single pass covers the code, the connector UI lane and the zh-CN strings. The whole PR first passed at 28f4364, and the commit since fixes that gate's points.

  • Audience matches the server.
    • The draft can only submit [boundAgent] on a key connection. That holds on every path: open, Grant again from a live or dead grant, pod change, connection change, checkbox toggle and catalogue refresh.
    • connection.agentId is the Integration's config.agentId, which is the same id operatorKeyAudienceRefusal compares.
    • An empty or omitted audience can't be submitted.
  • OAuth and GitHub are unchanged. boundAgentOf is null for them, so drafts start with every seat, the pod change resets to every seat, and the picker shows owner/repo as before. All 5 ConnectorsPage suites pass.
  • Grant again keeps its key. It keeps the key it was minted on: from.installationId maps to connectionId, which is the hosted row's _id. A gone key opens with no connection and nobody selected, so Grant stays disabled. It never falls back to another agent's key. Change access revokes only after a successful mint.
  • agent-dm. pod.type === 'agent-dm' is excluded from both the owned and the shared side, matching ownershipInstallations. agent-room and agent-admin still count.
  • renderKeyGuidance shows only in the granted drawer branch. accessPage is https-validated server-side and uses rel="noopener noreferrer".
  • zh-CN. The three strings follow the skill and match mayUse and mentionNotInPod. Placeholders match en, and the PR body's table matches the file.
  • Mutations, each restored. Each change fails its own tests:
    • all-seats audience: 2 fail
    • keeping the old audience on connection change: 1
    • ignoring the minted key: 1
    • the gone-key fallback: 1
    • the agent-dm filter: 1
    • drawer guidance: 1
  • Runs. 304 of 304 tests pass in the ConnectorsPage and i18n suites, and 2,639 pass across all of src/v2 and src/i18n. tsc is clean in src/.
  • Defects: none.
  • Non-blocking, all in the gone-key draft:
    • The connection <select value=""> shows the first key as chosen. It needs a placeholder option.
    • The seat list and the "select an agent" copy mislead when the grant's key was removed. A "key removed" note should replace them.
    • submitDraft should also guard !draft.connectionId.

Follow-up Comments

Minor follow-up Show a connection choice when the grant's key is gone.

355-355: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win

Show a connection choice when the grant's key is gone.

When a reopened grant's operator key is missing, openDraft sets connectionId to '' (useToolConnectors.ts:355). The picker then has two problems:

  • With one remaining connection, ToolPanels.tsx hides the picker because it requires more than one connection. Grant stays disabled with no selector.
  • With two or more connections, the select has no empty option. The browser shows the first connection while the draft holds ''. Choosing that displayed option does not fire change, so the user must select another connection first.

Show the picker whenever a connection is needed, and add a disabled empty placeholder so the displayed value matches the draft state.

Suggested fix
-            {draftEntry.connections.length > 1 && (
+            {(draftEntry.connections.length > 1 || (draftEntry.connections.length > 0 && !draft.connectionId)) && (
                 >
+                  {!draft.connectionId && (
+                    <option value="" disabled>{t('tools.chooseConnection', { defaultValue: 'Choose a connection' })}</option>
+                  )}
                   {draftEntry.connections.map((connection) => {

Add a test that reopens a grant whose key is missing, with one remaining connection, and selects that connection. Enable Grant after the selection.

Update the connection picker visibility and options used by the grant UI so it
appears when connections exist but openDraft has left connectionId empty,
including when only one connection remains. Add a disabled empty-value
placeholder for that state so the select reflects the draft and selecting the
sole connection triggers a change; ensure Grant becomes enabled after selection,

…"Choose a key"

From CodeRabbit review 5759837673 on #3354. When a key grant's key is
gone, openDraft leaves connectionId empty:
- The connection picker now shows even when only one key remains, so the
  person can still choose it. Before, it was hidden and Grant stayed off
  with nothing to pick.
- A disabled "Choose a key" placeholder (zh 选择密钥, matching 选择智能体)
  keeps the select's value at '', so the browser no longer shows the first
  key as chosen. Choosing it now fires a change.
- The agent list and the "select an agent" notice wait until a key is
  chosen.
- submitDraft also refuses an empty connectionId.

Tests: a removed key with one key left offers the picker, and choosing it
posts [SCOUT]. The two-key test also asserts the empty value and the
placeholder. Each fails without its change.

@coderabbitai Thanks. Both findings in review 5759837673 were valid.

  • Inline (another agent's key on Grant again): already fixed in 7a69772, as you noted. A key grant whose key is gone now opens with no connection and no agent.
  • Picker for a removed key: fixed in the latest commit, as you suggested.
    • The picker now shows whenever a key needs choosing, including when only one remains.
    • A disabled "Choose a key" placeholder keeps the value at '', so choosing the displayed key fires a change.
    • The agent list waits until a key is chosen.
    • submitDraft also refuses an empty connectionId.
    • A new test reopens a grant whose key is gone, with one key left, and chooses it; Grant then posts [SCOUT]. Taking out either the picker condition or the placeholder makes it fail.

@lilyshen0722 Thanks for the detailed update. The reported changes address both findings: a missing key no longer falls back to another agent’s key, and the picker requires an explicit selection even when only one key remains.

The regression test covers the important recovery path: reopen the grant, select the remaining key, and submit only [SCOUT]. I have not independently verified the latest commit or test results.

@coderabbitai Correction to my last reply: #3354 merged at 7a69772 before that push, so the picker fix for review 5759837673 (picker shown for a removed key, "Choose a key" placeholder, submitDraft guard) isn't on main. It's now #3355, cherry-picked onto main.

@lilyshen0722 Thanks for the correction. My previous reply did not distinguish the two PRs:

  • #3354 merged at 7a69772a with the missing-key fallback fix.
  • The picker fix belongs to #3355, not the merged #3354. It includes the picker visibility change, the “Choose a key” placeholder, and the submitDraft guard.

I have not independently verified #3355 or its presence on main.
