feat(v2): the task record page is built to its frame, with its own names - #3362
This builds the task record page to its approved d215 task-record frame (added in #3345). It covers the loaded and unavailable states, at 1440 and 390. The page gets its own v2-task-record__* names, so a change to the run trace can no longer move it.
What changes
V2TaskRecord.css (new) holds the page's own stylesheet: the frame's CSS translated to --v2-* tokens.
V2TaskRecord.tsx
The page no longer imports V2RunTrace.css or uses any v2-run-trace__* class.
The head runs edge to edge. Rows are 44px tall (56px at 390), each with a one-line summary, and an entry's data folds under its row. Downloads sit in one menu. Done is the only filled mark.
The loading, paging, both downloads, the links and the record API call are unchanged.
The heading is the task's title, with the id and entry count on the line below, as the frame draws it.
The title comes from one extra GET to the existing /api/v1/tasks/:podId, matched by task id. That's the board's own read, and no backend route is added.
The read runs alongside the record read and never holds it up.
If it fails, is refused, doesn't find the task or comes back malformed, the id stays as the heading and no error shows.
The title renders as plain text.
V2RunTrace.css drops the three rules only the task record used. The run trace page is pixel-identical before and after in all five captures.
icons/glyphs.tsx adds the marks the frame uses. V2App gives the route the v2-feature--task-record class.
Where it departs from the frame
Times follow the locale: English reads "10:01 AM", and zh shows 10:01.
At both widths, clicking anywhere on a row opens its details, not only the chevron.
The frame doesn't draw some states, so they follow its notes:
Members-only, store-down, error and unreadable records use the unavailable block, each with its own line. The ones that can be retried keep Try again.
Loading shows three grey rows. An empty record shows a clock tile.
A failed download shows an alert row.
At 390 the frame's footer sits under the tab bar. The built page clears it: the footer's bottom edge is at 774px and the bar's top at 786px, in light, dark and zh-CN.

Tests and checks
Tests: the new and updated tests in V2TaskRecord.test.tsx cover:
the row fold;
the one-line summaries;
loading;
the download menu;
zh;
the title, including that markup stays text;
each fallback (failed, 403, missing, not a list);
that the record renders before the title read lands.
New presence guards in v2-layout-invariants.test.ts: own sheet only, every class used has a rule, the edge-to-edge head, 44px rows and keys, Done as the only filled mark, and no side rails.
Full run:src/v2 and src/i18n pass, 203 suites and 2,654 tests, rebased on main. tsc is clean under src/, and eslint has 0 errors.
Mutations: each was restored afterwards, and each fails at least one test.

… its own names
The task record borrowed the run trace's v2-run-trace__* classes, so a change
to the run trace could move it. It now has its own sheet (V2TaskRecord.css)
and v2-task-record__* names, lifted from the approved s-task-record frame
(loaded and not-available, 1440 and 390). V2RunTrace.css drops the rules only
the task record used; the run trace renders pixel-identical before and after.
- Header: back icon key, Task record, the chain explainer behind (i), the id
and count in mono, and one Download key with a JSONL / OTLP menu (an icon
key at 390).
- One row per entry on a timeline: a mark per kind (Done is the only filled
one), who (avatar, or a tile for Board, System, Policy), one mono line of
the entry's data, the time. The full key/value list, entry number included,
folds under its row; the whole row is the target.
- Not available: lock tile, title, one line. Other errors use the same block
with their own line, and the retryable ones keep Try again.
- Data, routes and API calls are unchanged.

The approved frame leads with the task's title. There is no single-task
read, so the page asks the board's own GET /api/v1/tasks/:podId (same auth)
and finds the task by id. The read never blocks the record: it renders at
once with the id as the heading and takes the title when the read lands. A
failed or refused read, or a task missing from the list, keeps the id with
no error. The title renders as plain text, and the id sits on the line below.

Contain long actor labels within the row.
If a member name or valid actor ID exceeds the available width, .v2-task-record__who keeps the text on one line without clipping it. On a 390px viewport, the text can overlap the time or extend past the row. Give the actor label a shrinkable width and an ellipsis; include a long-name case in the layout check. Select plain values before limiting the summary.
For an attempt.settled entry with attempt, failure (an object), and outcome, .slice(0, 2) selects the first two fields. The summary then drops failure and never shows outcome. Filter for displayable values before taking two, and test an entry with an object between its plain values. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Test malformed titles on the matching task.
Add cases where TASK-7 has a blank title and a non-string title. The existing assertions already verify that the heading remains TASK-7 and that no alert appears. Without these cases, the current tests pass if the title guards are removed.

…e reset (#3362 review)
Review of #3362 at 88c96ec, plus CodeRabbit:
- The (i) trigger is a 44px target at 390. v2.css draws it 28px; a ::after
hit area at -9px a side makes 44px, because the pseudo is placed from the
padding edge inside the 1px border (-8px measures 42px in the browser).
- Try again in the unavailable block is 44px tall at 390. The run-trace rule
used to give it that.
- Release reasons and decisions read as words in en and zh: the reasons the
writers put down (blocked, lease_expired, reassigned, abandoned) and the
decision kinds and outcomes (allow/reject once or always, selected,
cancelled). Any other value shows as written, with underscores as spaces.
- The open rows and the Download menu reset when the pod or task changes, and
a title read that lands after navigation never shows on the next task.
- argsDigest shows as the frame draws it (sha256:9f2c…41ab), with the full
value in the cell's title.
- A long member name or actor id shrinks and truncates, with the full name in
the title, instead of pushing the time off the row.
- An entry of another kind shows its first two plain values, so an object
field between them no longer drops one.

Long actor names:.v2-task-record__who now shrinks and ends in an ellipsis, with the full name in its title. In the browser at 390, a 67-character actor id and a 56-character name both stop 12px short of the time, and nothing overflows. A presence guard covers it.
Summary values: the summary now keeps string and number values first and then takes two, so an object field between two plain values no longer hides one. There's a test for that case.
Malformed titles: new cases cover a blank title and a non-string title on the matching task. Both keep TASK-7 and show no alert. With either title guard removed, the tests fail.

Review round (D218) at 523d24e. It covers code, design, layout and zh-CN. The first round held at 88c96ec on two blockers, and the commit since then fixes them, along with the four non-blocking items and CodeRabbit's three points.
Behaviour parity with main (unchanged since the first round)
The record read and paging are byte-identical: after / limit=1000, the cursor checks and parseRecord.
Both downloads give the same bytes and file names.
The back link is unchanged.
Errors behave as before: 404 and 403 don't retry, while 503, other errors and an unreadable record do.
Title read
It never blocks the record, and every failure falls back silently.
The title is plain text and the read fires once per pod and task.
A late read after navigating can't land on the next task. Two tests cover this, and they now catch the mutation that slipped through the first round.
tasksApi.ts:229 gates the read on pod membership.
The fixes
(i) at 390: the clickable area is 44×44, probed at all four corners with elementFromPoint in light, dark and zh-CN.
Try again at 390: 83×44 in en, 55×44 in zh.
Reasons and decisions read as words in en and zh. An unknown value falls back to the raw text with underscores turned into spaces.
Per-task reset: open rows and the Download menu reset when the task changes.
argsDigest is shortened as in the frame, with the full value in its title.
Long names truncate with an ellipsis and keep a title.
Row summaries filter to plain values before taking two.
Titles: new tests cover a blank title and a non-string title.
Design
Tokens only, no accent rails (D225), and Done is the only filled mark.
16px gutter at 390, 44px rows and keys on the phone, and the footer clears the tab bar.
The page matches the task-record frames.
The run trace page is unchanged.
zh-CN
The key sets match, with no 您.
受阻, 租约到期, 已改派, 已放弃, 允许一次, 拒绝一次, 始终允许, 始终拒绝, 已选择 and 已取消 follow the existing 已认领 / 已释放 pattern.
Mutations (each restored)
In this round: dropping the stale-title guards fails 2 tests, and removing the per-task reset fails 1.
The builder ran 13 more, and each fails at least one test.
Runs
jest on src/v2 and src/i18n: 203 suites, 2666 tests, all pass.
tsc: 0 errors under src/.
Layout browser check: own-origin vite against prod, GET-only. All 1,286 requests went to localhost, and 2 POSTs were aborted.
I used a real pod and task, with a fixture record that includes a 70-character member name.
390 in light, dark and zh-CN, plus 1440, plus the 503 state.
Page overflow is 0 everywhere. The (i) target is 44×44 and Try again is 44px. Long names ellipsize without moving the time, and the footer clears the tab bar.
Defects: none.
Non-blocking follow-up:/api/v1/tasks/:podId returns the whole pod's task list (8.85 MB on a 760-task pod) just to show one title. A ?taskId= filter or a single-task read would fix that.

@lilyshen0722 Thanks for the detailed confirmation. Your reported fixes in 523d24eb address all three review points:
Long actor names truncate while preserving the full value in title.
Summary values filter for strings and numbers before selecting two.
Blank and non-string titles retain the task ID without showing an alert.
The reported browser check and regression tests cover the cases raised. I have not independently verified this revision.

## 🧠 Product Vision & Architecture Philosophy
### Design Rules for Claude Code
9. **Ship with proof, and commit what you learned.** Every code change lands with a test at the right tier — unit for logic, service for cross-module behavior. **v2 layout/CSS changes need a real-browser check (MCP Playwright), because jsdom has no layout engine** — overflow, scroll and flex bugs are invisible to render tests. Guard load-bearing CSS rules with a presence test (`frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts`) until a browser-layout tier exists, and stand that Playwright CI tier up only when a second person regularly ships UI or the shell has real users to protect. Land what you learned in `docs/` in the same change (see *Knowledge-Base Discipline*).
@coderabbitai I'm not fixing either of these in this PR. Both are minor, and the full values can still be reached without hovering:
Actor names and the digest: the record's Download (JSON and text) carries every full value, the actor id and the full argsDigest included. Each cell also keeps its full value in title.
Touch access: a tap-to-reveal for the truncated cells is a reasonable follow-up. I've noted it for the task-record follow-up. This PR is already queued, and another push would only restart the queue for a minor change.
For best results, initiate chat on the files or code changes.
@lilyshen0722 Understood. I accept deferring these minor usability changes to the task-record follow-up. The downloads provide an alternative to hovering for full values; tap-to-reveal would improve direct access on touch devices.
I am not asking for another push in this PR. Would you like me to open a GitHub issue for the follow-up, or is your existing note sufficient?
