After #3402, every G11 frame pair passes on prod. A by-eye check of the frame-vs-live screenshots still found four small differences the scorer can't measure. This PR fixes them. It also makes the one unscored page, Activity day-zero at 390, scorable. No frame is edited, and no en or zh-CN string changes.

What changed

  • Profile. In the frame, the follower and following numbers are bold. boldCount (V2PersonProfile.tsx) wraps the number in the translated string in <b>, at 600 weight in primary ink, and leaves the word secondary. The same split works for "12 followers" and "关注了8人".
  • BYO at 390, to match the frame's phone head:
    • a back key to the agents page, 44 px, with the frame's glyph;
    • the 16 px display title;
    • the "i" hints at the right edge, drawn as the frame's plain glyph (info--lg, a 44 px box with no border) instead of a bordered 28 px circle.
    • V2FeaturePage gets an optional lead slot for the back key, and the key is hidden above 760.
    • The Windows snippet and notes areas are untouched.
  • Sidebar at 390. The frame draws each row's time at rest and the pin only in the row's hover state. A coarse-pointer rule from feat(v2): sidebar matches the d215 artboard frame (TASK-735) #3139 showed the pin at rest instead. That rule is gone.
    • On touch, a 500 ms press and hold now acts as the row's hover. It reveals the pin in the time's place, the release doesn't open the pod, and a tap outside the row puts the time back.
    • Rows stay 44 tall, and the pin keeps its 44x44 touch area.
  • Run trace at 390.
    • The frame breaks the title as "How this reply / was made" (text-wrap: balance on h1/h2), and the page now does too.
    • "Back to pod" gets back the underline that a global link reset had removed.

Activity day-zero 390

The scorer clicked .v2-activity__window-button, a class that exists only in the frame's CSS. Live's window control is a V2Segmented, and its phone layout already matches the frame. So the fix is the scorer's selector (.v2-activity__window .v2-seg__option:nth-child(2)), with no product change. The pair now scores ok at 0.302.

Proof

  • Frame diff, local dev:live of this branch against prod's API. Every touched pair still passes, in light and dark: profile, BYO, sidebar, run trace and activity day-zero at 1440 and 390, plus chat 390, board 390 and settings.
  • Touch areas at 390, measured headless with hasTouch and elementFromPoint:
    • BYO back key and every "i" hint: 44x44.
    • Sidebar rows: full width by 44.
    • The revealed pin: 44x44.
    • The probe also confirmed that the time shows at rest, and that after a 700 ms hold the pin shows and the time hides.
  • Tests: the frontend v2 suites pass, 203 suites and 2714 tests.
    • New: hold-to-reveal in V2PodsSidebar.scale.test.tsx (a quick tap reveals nothing, a hold reveals the pin without opening the pod, a tap outside resets).
    • New: the bold counts in V2PersonProfile.test.tsx.
    • New: a "G11 polish" block in v2-layout-invariants.test.ts.

Not in this PR

  • The display font's optical-size axis. Live loads Bricolage Grotesque without opsz, so display text runs about 2.5% wider than the frame at 32 px. Fixing it changes display type on every page, so it is left for its own change.
  • Prod scores. They are local. G11 is re-scored on prod after this deploys.

Walkthrough

Pod rows now reveal their pin after a touch hold instead of showing pins at rest on touch devices. Profile count labels, the BYO mobile header, and run-trace presentation also receive updates.

Changes: Pod sidebar touch interaction

Layer / File(s) Summary
Touch reveal behavior and validation
frontend/src/v2/components/V2PodsSidebar.tsx, frontend/src/v2/v2.css, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/*, docs/design/artboards/d215/README.md
A non-mouse press held for 500 ms reveals the row pin and hides its time. Releasing, leaving, cancelling, or pressing outside the revealed row ends the reveal. A click after the hold does not navigate, and tapping the pin toggles it. Tests cover these interactions, and the design note describes the touch behavior.

V2FeaturePage accepts and forwards an optional lead node. The BYO page supplies a back button that navigates to /v2/agents. Mobile styles update the hint control and header, and hide the back button above 760px. Layout assertions cover the BYO back button and mobile controls.
Run-trace heading and link styles

Gate review: #3412 (launch/g11-polish), head 89d9867

Summary. The PR fixes four mismatches between the d215 frames and the live pages: bold profile counts, the BYO phone head, the time at rest on the phone sidebar with press-and-hold to reveal the pin, and the run trace title wrap plus the underlined back link. Each change does what the PR body says, and each is scoped to its own page. The press-and-hold behaves correctly in a real headless Chromium with touch at 390, light and dark. Pinned pods can be found at rest through the Pinned option of the view switch, which is the Cofounder's condition. On top of 2d5c76a there are two commits. 0685118 adds a test assertion (a tap on the revealed pin calls togglePin once and doesn't open the pod) and a README note, with no product code. 89d9867 fixes the stuck swallow guard from the first round of this review. No blocking findings.

Blocking findings

None.

Non-blocking notes

  1. Fixed in 89d9867 (was note 1). In the first round, the swallow guard could stay set after a long press with no click, and then eat the next mouse click or keyboard Enter.
    • startPress now resets pressRevealed before the mouse early-return.
    • The new endPress (the row's onPointerUp) clears the guard 400 ms after a release that followed a reveal.
    • Is 400 ms long enough? Yes. A click is dispatched in the same task as pointerup, or a few ms later. Even a legacy 300 ms tap delay fits inside 400, and the page sets width=device-width, so that delay doesn't apply anyway.
    • Is it short enough? It can't catch a deliberate second tap at all. Every touch or mouse tap starts with pointerdown, and startPress resets the guard first. The only thing the window can still swallow is a keyboard Enter on a row within 400 ms of a touch release, which is negligible.
    • Can two holds interfere? A pending 400 ms clear can't wipe a newer hold's guard. A new reveal needs 500 ms of hold, so the older clear has always fired by then.
    • The 400 ms timeout isn't cleared on unmount. It only writes a ref, so that's harmless.
    • The new test fails without the fix: the click on the second row would be swallowed and the path wouldn't change.
  2. Screen-reader reach on phones. The coordinator is leaving this out on purpose, pending a real-device check of iOS VoiceOver. The at-rest coarse-pointer pin is gone, and the pin is visibility: hidden at rest. That removes it from the accessibility tree, so on iOS VoiceOver can find the pin only after a hold gesture passes through. Desktop already had this pattern, and the frame requires it. A follow-up could keep the touch pin in the AX tree (for example opacity: 0; pointer-events: none under the coarse media, instead of visibility). That stops stray taps and keeps the pin reachable by VoiceOver.
  3. The BYO back key uses yourTeam.title ("Your team" / "你的团队") as its aria-label. That's accurate: /v2/agents is the Your team page, and the key's title says the same. "Back to Your team" would be clearer, but it would need a new string, which this PR rules out. The existing inspector.back ("Back") is an alternative if the destination name ever stops reading well.
  4. The revealed pin's visible box measures 28x28 at 390 (headless boundingBox). The PR measured its 44x44 hit area with elementFromPoint, and the rule is a 44 hit area, so this is fine. Noted only so nobody misreads a later probe.
  5. The scorer captures at 390 with hasTouch: true, and (hover: none) and (pointer: coarse) matched in my probe. So the sidebar-390 pngs show the touch path, not a desktop fallback.

What I verified

  • REVIEW.md and docs/development/review-checklist.md read in the worktree.

  • Profile boldCount. The locale templates are en {{count}} follower / {{count}} followers / {{count}} following, and zh-CN {{count}}位粉丝 / 关注了{{count}}人. zh-CN has only _other, which covers every count. Each template has exactly one {{count}} and no other digits, so indexOf(String(count)) finds the number for 0, 1 and plurals. If the number isn't found, the function returns the whole string unchanged, so text is never dropped. A future {{count, number}} format such as "1,234" would just fall back to unbolded text.

  • V2FeaturePage lead. It's optional and passed through to V2PageHead, which already had lead (rendered before __identity). The other three V2FeaturePage callers pass nothing, so {undefined} renders nothing and their output is unchanged. All BYO CSS is under .v2-feature--byo. The key is styled only at ≤760 and set to display: none at ≥761, which the byo-1440 png confirms: no key.

  • Run trace CSS. Scoped to .v2-run-trace h1/h2 and .v2-root a.v2-run-trace__back.

  • Sidebar hold, code.

    • The timer is cleared on unmount (useEffect(() => cancelPress)) and on pointerup, pointerleave and pointercancel. Browsers fire pointercancel when a pan starts, which covers scrolling.
    • The outside-tap listener is added only while a row is revealed, and removed in the effect cleanup.
    • The reveal can't stick: the next pointerdown outside a revealed row clears it, including when the row has unmounted.
    • The contextmenu preventDefault applies only during or after a touch press, so desktop right-click is unchanged.
    • Mouse input returns early. The :hover and :has(:focus-visible) rules are untouched, and the new selectors only add to them.
  • Sidebar hold, live, re-run at 89d9867 with the same results. Headless Chromium against the local dev server running this worktree, 390x844 with hasTouch. Only GET requests reached the API; everything else was aborted, so nothing was written to prod. Light and dark gave identical results:

    • At rest: time visible, pin hidden.
    • A 150 px drag held 700 ms: no reveal.
    • A 700 ms hold: the pin shows, the time hides, and the pod doesn't open (path stays /v2).
    • A tap on the revealed pin pins the pod (localStorage updated) and doesn't navigate.
    • A tap outside: the time comes back.
    • The view switch shows "Recent All 65 Pinned" at 366x42. Pinned lists the pinned pod ("Ship lane").
    • A real tap afterwards opens the pod.
    • Screenshots: /private/tmp/claude-501/-Users-xcjsam-Documents-workspace-commonly/7c83ec6c-0b31-491e-a13c-dc458848bd35/scratchpad/g3412/hold-dark.png and /private/tmp/claude-501/-Users-xcjsam-Documents-workspace-commonly/7c83ec6c-0b31-491e-a13c-dc458848bd35/scratchpad/g3412/pinned-light.png
  • Frames. Read from ~/.commonly/state/launch/g11-local-polish-final; polish-3 doesn't exist at the path given.

    • profile-390 light and profile-1440 dark: the numbers are bold, the words secondary.
    • byo-390 light and dark: back key, 16 px title, plain "i" at the right edge.
    • byo-1440: no key, otherwise unchanged.
    • sidebar-390 light and dark: the time shows at rest.
    • run-trace-after-390 light and dark: the title breaks "How this reply / was made", and "Back to pod" is underlined.
    • No new visual regression seen. Every report passes (layout 0.01–0.21, under the 0.35 limit).
  • Strings. No locale file is in the diff (git diff --stat), so en and zh-CN are unchanged.

  • Tests. jest-capped.sh ran V2PersonProfile, V2PodsSidebar.scale and v2-layout-invariants: 3 suites and 436 tests passed at 2d5c76a, and again at 89d9867. By reading, each new test fails without its fix:

    • The profile test asserts <b> children ['12', '8']; without boldCount there are none.
    • The sidebar test asserts the --reveal class, the swallowed click and the togglePin call. None exist without the new handlers.
    • The invariants assert the new selectors and source strings.

I didn't run a mutation, because the worktree is not to be edited.

Clear reveal state when the pointer is canceled.

If a hold reaches 500 ms before the browser cancels the pointer, cancelPress clears the timer but leaves revealedPin and pressRevealed.current set. The pin remains visible after the canceled gesture. A later mouse or keyboard row click can also be discarded because mouse pointer-down does not reset the flag. Clear both states on pointercancel, while retaining click suppression after a normal pointerup. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Clear the reveal latch before independent activations.

A touch long-press can end with pointerup without dispatching click. Clearing the timer on pointercancel does not clear pressRevealed.current for this path. The next mouse click or keyboard activation can therefore return from onClick without opening its pod.

Gate the hover-driven pin and time rules to pointer devices that support hover.

On touch devices, a quick tap can leave the row in :hover. The :hover selectors are not inside a media query. The row then shows its pin and hides its time without a press-and-hold. This breaks the touch-at-rest behavior that the comment at lines 4506-4511 describes. The state persists until the user taps elsewhere. The focus-visible and --reveal rules are not affected and can stay ungated.

Assert that a quick tap opens a different pod.

This sequence never dispatches a click, so it cannot detect a regression that blocks quick-tap navigation. The fixture also starts on the first row’s pod, so an unchanged path would not prove that navigation occurred. Click a row for a different pod and assert its destination. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

As per coding guidelines, “New code path ≠ test: flag it. Name the specific test that should exist.” As per path instructions, “A test that would still pass with the fix reverted is not a test (rule 1).”

Review comment at @frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2PodsSidebar.scale.test.tsx around
lines 453 - 456:
Update the quick-tap test in V2PodsSidebar.scale.test.tsx to dispatch the click
behavior after the touch events on a row belonging to a different pod than the
fixture’s initial pod. Assert that navigation reaches that pod’s destination, so
the test fails if quick-tap navigation is blocked.

Agreed: the quick-tap step dispatched no click, and the route starts on that row's pod, so it couldn't catch a regression in quick-tap navigation. The fix is ready as commit b0a0b95, and it's test-only. The quick tap now goes to a different pod's row, dispatches pointerdown, pointerup and click, and asserts that the path changes to a /v2/pods/… route with no reveal. The later swallowed-click check now taps the first row, since the quick tap left another pod open. I mutation-checked it: with selectPod disabled in the row's onClick, the test fails ("Expected: not /v2/pods/sharpen").

This PR was already in the merge queue when the thread arrived, so the branch can't take the push. If it merges at this head, the test lands in the next PR off main, the display-font change that follows this one. Otherwise it goes onto this branch once the PR is dequeued.

@lilyshen0722 The described change addresses the quick-tap coverage gap. Your reported mutation check shows that the new assertion detects blocked navigation.

Commit b0a0b957 has not landed on this branch, so the finding remains open. The supplied review rubric requires the test to ship with the behavior change. I recommend dequeuing #3412, applying the test-only commit, and rerunning the affected suite before merge.

If #3412 merges first, would you like a follow-up issue to track the test in the next PR?
