feat(discord): a pod's agent lines relay out to its bound Discord channel by mode (F132) - #3465
With live relay on, a pod's agent messages now go out to the pod's bound Discord channel, the way Telegram and Slack already work. Mirror sends every agent line, attention sends only the addressed ones, and mute holds them. Discord is the third outbound ChatRelayAdapter (D249, after #3456 inbound).
How
Sending. It uses the channel webhook the install already stores encrypted (webhookUrlRef, with ?wait=true). The URL has to match Discord's webhook pattern before anything is sent, and no bot token is used.
Mentions. Every send carries allowed_mentions: { parse: [] }. @everyone and @here are defused and names are markdown-escaped, so an agent can't ping the server.
Length. Lines read [Pod] **Agent**: text and are cut at 2000 characters without breaking an emoji. They are truncated, not split, as on Telegram and Slack.
Rate limit. Each webhook gets one queue per replica, with sends at least 400 ms apart.
A short 429 gets one retry after retry_after.
A longer one starts a cooldown. Lines that arrive during it are dropped with a log line, and they stay in the pod.
Failures. Codes 10003, 10015, 50001 and 50013 put the row into error with a reason a person can read. A 429 or 5xx never changes the row's status.
The core stays generic. Each adapter declares directRows, and the dispatcher selects chatRelayDirectRowTypes(), so no platform is named there. Telegram dispatches as before.
Connectors. A proven Discord row gets Manage, the Relay switch and Attention/Mirror, shown only to the creator. An unproven row says to add the bot again. The copy says the whole server can read the channel. Strings are in en and zh-CN.
Gateway pre-filter. A cached discordUserId skips the per-line row read for every author except the installer.
Tests
Written first, failing before the change: the new discordBridgeService.outbound.test.js, plus new cases in installableEventHandlers, connectorDeliveryFailureService, discordBridgeService and ConnectorsPage.channels.
Telegram, Slack, decision cards and the bind rule: their suites pass unedited. Three assertions in chatRelayCore.test.js changed, because they asserted that outbound relay was Telegram and Slack only.
Reverse checks:
dropping allowed_mentions fails the no-ping and decision-card tests;
dropping the mode filter fails the attention-mode test;
offering the switch on an unproven row fails the "no relay switch" test.
Typecheck: backend and frontend tsc are clean.
Not covered
No screenshots yet; the app wasn't run.
Follow-ups:
a Discord row in error has no reconnect button (this predates this PR);
…nnel by mode (F132)
Discord becomes the third outbound ChatRelayAdapter. With live relay on, the
pod's agent lines go to the bound channel in mirror or attention mode, and
mute holds them, as Telegram and Slack do.
- Send through the row's stored channel webhook (encrypted webhookUrlRef,
?wait=true); the URL must match Discord's webhook pattern first. No bot
token. allowed_mentions { parse: [] } on every send, @everyone/@here
defused, names markdown-escaped; truncated at 2000 without splitting.
- Pacing: one queue per webhook per replica, >= 400 ms apart; one retry on a
short 429, otherwise a cooldown that drops (and logs) lines, which stay in
the pod.
- Failures: 10003/10015/50001/50013 set the row to error with a reason for a
person; 429 and 5xx never change status.
- Core stays generic: adapters declare directRows; the dispatcher selects
chatRelayDirectRowTypes() and calls internal:<type>.relay, so no platform
is named there. Telegram dispatches as before.
- Same gate as F131: the row's creator with a proven discordUserId; the send
path re-checks linkedUserId === createdBy.
- Connectors: a proven Discord row gets Manage, the Relay switch and
Attention/Mirror; an unproven one says to add the bot again. Copy says the
whole server reads the channel. en + zh-CN.
- Gateway pre-filter: a cached discordUserId skips the per-line row read for
everyone but the installer.

Discord now supports outbound chat relay through the shared adapter registry. The change adds webhook delivery, identity and pod-membership checks, delivery-failure handling, and creator-gated relay controls in the connector interface.
Adapters can declare directRows. The dispatcher uses registered direct-row types, and Discord joins outbound relay registration. Discord is also added as a ChannelVerdict provider.
Discord identity and pod-membership checks backend/services/discordGatewayService.ts, backend/services/discordBridgeService.ts, backend/routes/integrations.ts, backend/__tests__/unit/routes/discordBindingContainment.test.js, backend/__tests__/unit/services/discordBridgeService.test.js
The gateway selects live-relay targets only when the message author matches the configured Discord ID. Relay refusal checks require the installer to remain a member of the target pod.
The adapter checks eligibility, formats messages, sends through webhooks, and applies pacing and bounded 429 retries. Permanent Discord failures mark the matching row while retaining channelId. The tests and contract cover these behaviors.
Discord relay controls require creator identity and a proven Discord ID. The interface shows Discord-specific relay descriptions and bot-reinstallation guidance. English and Chinese strings and UI tests are added.

Team-Commonly/commonly#3456: Defines the proven Discord installer ID and creator-based relay refusal checks used by this change.
Discord outbound relay now covers mirror and attention modes, with identity checks and a bounded send queue. A disconnected Discord row can still relay the installer's inbound messages into the pod, and a send already queued can post after disconnect if webhook deletion failed. The author reports that several earlier review concerns are already fixed. Both open issues are bounded, and the inbound one predates this PR, so address them before merge or soon after.

Verified
Who can send. Only a Discord row with live relay on and a proven discordUserId, whose creator is its linked user. The key fields are server-owned. The PATCH runs through liveRelayRefusalFor. F143 and F90 are unchanged.
Webhook URL. It comes from the encrypted ref, or from server-owned fallbacks, and is checked against an anchored Discord-host pattern. No log prints it.
Mentions. There is one send path, with allowed_mentions: { parse: [] }. @everyone and @here are defused before truncation.
Rate limiting. One short retry on a 429; longer waits cool down and expire on their own.
Generic core. Telegram and Slack dispatch is unchanged, and the edited assertions only add discord.
Classifier. Only 10003, 10015, 50001 and 50013 flip a row; 429 and 5xx never do.
Echo. The webhook's own copy is dropped in both the gateway and the bridge.
Strings. en and zh-CN follow the glossary.
Being fixed in a push on this PR (none of these blocks the merge):
Medium: the relay keeps sending after the installer leaves the pod, and a guild channel is shared.
Low: the "add the bot again" note shows to viewers who aren't the creator, and the toggle shows to admins who aren't the creator.
Low: a 401 with code 50027 (revoked webhook token) never marks the row.
Low:[, ] and ( in a pod or agent name can form a link.
…ollow-ups (#3465)
- Send path and the live-relay refusal require the row's creator to still
be a listed pod member; a pod that can't be read sends nothing.
- Connectors: the Relay toggle and Manage need the viewer to be the row's
creator; the "add the bot again" note shows only to the creator.
- 50027 (revoked webhook token) classified like 10015.
- escapeDiscordMarkdown escapes [ ] ( ); pod and agent names in the prefix
go through the @everyone/@here defuse.
- Per-webhook send queue capped at 20; overflow dropped with the cooldown's
log line.

Include lead-agent messages in the attention row label.
In attention mode, shouldEscalate also sends every message from the configured lead agent. This row label says only escalations reach the channel. A creator reading the row can therefore miss that ordinary lead-agent messages reach the shared channel. Correct the default text and connectors.discordRowAttention in both locale files; add a row-label assertion to the attention-mode test. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Add webhook allowlist cases that reflect the real bypass shapes.
The only negative case is https://example.com/collect. The allowlist regex is the single control that stops agent text going to an attacker-chosen URL, because config.webhookUrl is a legacy field that may have come from a request body. A test with one obviously foreign host would still pass if the regex lost its anchors or its host escape.

Bound the per-webhook lane queue.
Each call chains onto current.tail. Only a 429 cooldown drops lines. If Discord returns 5xx or hangs, each queued send can take up to the 10 s axios timeout. The sends run serially. relayAgentMessageThroughAdapter awaits adapter.send, so every waiting caller stays pending. In mirror mode with a chatty pod, the backlog grows without limit. Lines then reach the channel minutes late, out of context.
Track a pending count on the lane. When the count exceeds a small cap, return a dropped result immediately and log it. The doc already presents "dropped and logged" as the designed under-delivery behavior. Extend it to this case, and add a test for it.
Also set pending: 0 where the lane is created, and add maxPending to discordWebhookPacing.

Test identity propagation through the cache refresh.
The current tests provide discordUserId directly and mock ensureChannelCache(). Add a test that calls the real ensureChannelCache() and uses an Integration.find(...).select(...).lean() chain whose projection omits config.discordUserId when that field is not selected. Then relay a proven author’s message and assert that the relay succeeds. The test must fail if the projection drops config.discordUserId.

…hook; CodeRabbit follow-ups (#3465)
- A Discord row relays only at status 'connected' (query and predicate),
so a disconnected row whose webhook delete failed no longer posts.
- Remove is back for connected Discord rows and goes to
DELETE /api/integrations/:id, which also deletes the channel webhook.
- ChannelVerdict accepts provider 'discord', so a Discord decision-card
verdict validates.
- Attention-mode copy (en, zh-CN) says the lead agent's lines also reach
the channel; the contract doc says outbound uses webhookUrlRef, not a bot
token, and lists 50027.
- Tests: webhook allowlist bypass shapes; the real cache refresh keeps
config.discordUserId in its projection.

Attention label: fixed. en and zh-CN now say the lead agent's lines also reach the channel. The row mark has no renderer on the v2 page, so the assertion checks both locale files.
INTEGRATION_CONTRACT.md:176: fixed. Outbound runs on the server through the stored config.webhookUrlRef, with no bot token. 50027 is listed too.
ChannelVerdict: fixed. 'discord' is in CHANNEL_VERDICT_PROVIDERS, with a test that creates, reads back and validates a Discord verdict.
Allowlist negatives: added the five bypass shapes plus a foreign host as a test.each, each asserting that nothing is sent.
Lane queue bound: covered in e74ab43. The queue holds at most 20 lines, the hanging send included, and the rest are dropped and logged. The test uses a hanging post.
Cache-refresh identity: added. The real ensureChannelCache runs against a projection-honouring find(), and the test fails if config.discordUserId is dropped from the projection.

@lilyshen0722 Thanks. Source inspection confirms all six reported follow-ups:
Both attention labels include the lead agent, with assertions for both locales.
The contract documents server-side delivery through config.webhookUrlRef, no outbound bot token, and error 50027.
ChannelVerdict accepts Discord, with create/read/validate coverage.
All six invalid webhook URL cases assert no send.
The queue-bound test uses a hanging send and checks that excess lines are dropped and logged. The configured limit is 20, including the in-flight send.
The cache-refresh test uses the real refresh and a projection-honoring mock to protect config.discordUserId.
These changes address the six body points. I inspected the source and test assertions; I did not run the tests.

* fix(discord): only the installer toggles sync; reads need a connected row; /summary cooldown; mute reads its whole argument (F161)
Follow-ups from the Team-Commonly#3465 and Team-Commonly#3469 reviews:
- /discord-enable and /discord-disable use the bridge commands' rule: the
caller's Discord id must equal the row's proven discordUserId. A legacy
row with no recorded id refuses everyone; adding the bot again records it.
- The per-guild register route registers nothing that is already global
(an empty bulk PUT also clears old duplicates).
- /tldr and /summary act only on a connected row; a settings write on a row
that isn't connected writes nothing and says so. /status still reports.
- /summary: one run per row per 60 s, claimed before the run.
- Boot-time command PUT: 10 s timeout, non-zero exit on failure; start.sh
keeps booting.
- /mute reads its whole argument on Telegram and Slack ("2 hours" = 120);
a unit that doesn't parse gets usage on all three platforms; a bare
number is still minutes.
- contexts: [0] on the bridge commands; a paused-row test.
- Connectors: a Discord row in error gets "Add the bot again" (en, zh-CN).

* fix(discord): re-adding the bot retires the dropped row; command deploy bounded; verify checks shape (Team-Commonly#3470)
CI and CodeRabbit on e111c85:
- The ReDoS mute input now expects usage, still parsed in under 50 ms.
- Each boot-time PUT attempt has a 15 s wall-clock AbortController covering
the response body, cleared in finally.
- A Discord bind on the same pod, guild and channel as one of the caller's
rows in error or disconnected retires that row as Remove would (grants
revoked, webhook deleted, row inactive); best effort, never fails the bind.
- The empty per-guild PUT runs only once the global bridge commands exist;
otherwise the guild keeps its commands and the reply names what's missing.
- Per-guild verify fails while the guild still holds commands; discord:verify
compares contexts and options, not only names; exit codes tested.

* fix(discord): the dropped-row lookup takes only shape-checked strings (Team-Commonly#3470)
CodeQL: the retire query was built from request values. Guild and channel
must be snowflakes and the pod an ObjectId string, all coerced to plain
strings, before the filter is built; anything else skips the retire.

What
With live relay on, a pod's agent messages now go out to the pod's bound Discord channel, the way Telegram and Slack already work. Mirror sends every agent line, attention sends only the addressed ones, and mute holds them. Discord is the third outbound

They are truncated, not split, as on Telegram and Slack.retry_after.directRows, and the dispatcher selectschatRelayDirectRowTypes(), so no platform is named there.
