Navigate logical layers of code changes, visualize relationships, and explore their blast radius. 📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe pull request adds research handoff documents and evidence records, two standalone Python prototypes with tests, and two native patch proposals. It also links the handoff from the README and experiments index. The handoff states that app, server, and web files were not changed or built. ChangesResearch handoff and prototypes

Preserve evidence recorded before a marked end.
If a scan records cameras beyond a future end, marks that end, and then replays a ground change, rebuilt.observe excludes those cameras’ out-of-bounds cells. clearEnd cannot restore the discarded evidence. The baseline retains existing cells when an end is marked, so clearing the end can reveal them again. Replay with each observation’s admission-time bounds, or otherwise retain that historical evidence without admitting views that were originally excluded. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

A keyframe or close-up task queued before a reset (or after the flow left the close-up) now returns before it writes anything, and the per-generation pending-save count drains in a defer, so a refused or failed write never holds up the upload. The close-up already rechecked generation and phase after the thumbnail await. From Hunter's research handoff, PR #18 (experiments/research-handoff/native-proposals/ scan-engine-task-guards.patch), applied by hand to the current engine. …its own frame Audit of the capture paths (Hunter's capture-admission finding, PR #18): - The tilt-up answer credited overhead coverage from the preview frame that raised the question, with no stored photo. The question now needs a frame with a photo, and "nothing overhead" stores that photo as a keyframe; the overhead view counts only once it is stored. A live walk also encodes a JPEG after 1 s without one, so a phone held still while tilted up still gets a photo to ask about. - KeyframeStore stored undecodable bytes with a gray placeholder thumbnail and judged success by the file existing. It now refuses bytes that don't decode before writing, and reports the write's own result. - Auto-capture could keep a frame judged on the last measured frame's quality. A kept frame must carry its own. - A replay frame whose write failed stayed marked kept, so the gap loop could never keep it. The live and replay paths already pair each photo with its own frame's pose and tracking. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
- docs/00 now explains how the pieces fit on both sides, including the server plan from Hunter's research handoff (PR #18): originals go to object storage, analysis runs asynchronously, and revised geometry invalidates dependent coverage. - AGENTS.md tells agents to report to the manager session that holds the plan's history and let it settle plan and product questions. - Semicolons become sentences and long bullets are split across AGENTS.md, README.md, docs/00 and docs/04. Two overstated claims in docs/00 are corrected to match the code: mesh vertices are copied before transforming, and each mesh measurement is the smallest distance over a fan of rays. Research handoff: live survey findings and tested prototypes (#18, conflicts resolved)

The live-survey investigation was spread across local research notes and isolated experiments. This handoff makes the recommendations, observed outcomes and reusable work reviewable in the repository, with explicit boundaries between source inspection, synthetic tests, real-image trials and unrun proposals.
Start with the high-level report. It recommends native local capture/guidance with durable original photos and asynchronous backend refinement, and identifies physical-phone validation as the largest remaining gap.

Validation performed for this export:
Python syntax, JSON, relative document links, patch hashes and identity of the exported implementations were also checked. The patch-folder attribute preserves the required single-space blank context lines in unified diffs.
No iOS/server/web integration or full application build was performed in this handoff. Desktop and synthetic successes do not establish physical dimensions, real phone performance, equipment identity or upload recovery. Research stopped at the user's request; prepared diagnostics remain unrun.
