chore(connectors): hide Airtable until its connect flow passes a walk - #2898
Airtable fails on prod before its consent screen ("invalid client_id or mismatched redirect_uri"), found on today's connector walk. A new user who picks it lands on a vendor error page.
This adds airtable to hostedMcp.hiddenEntries in values-dev.yaml, matching the other unwalked entries, and allowlists the designated walk user for it, so the fix can be re-walked on prod. Existing connections are unaffected. The diagnosis and fix are tracked separately.
Verified: helm template renders HOSTED_MCP_HIDDEN_ENTRIES with airtable and the allowlist JSON with both entries.
The 10-27 prod walk stopped before Airtable's consent screen with "invalid
client_id or mismatched redirect_uri", so a new user who picks Airtable hits a
vendor error page. Hide the entry like the other unwalked ones, and allowlist
the designated walk user so the fix (TASK-318) can be re-walked on prod.

The development Helm values now hide Airtable and allow a designated user to access the hidden entry. A comment records that Airtable remains hidden until TASK-318 lands and a walk passes.
Team-Commonly/commonly#2655 — Uses the same allowlist field to permit a user to walk a hidden hosted-MCP entry.
Team-Commonly/commonly#2539 — Uses the hidden-entry setting to keep connectors unavailable until end-to-end walks pass.
Merge Risk: Moderate · up to dc425
Hiding Airtable also blocks existing users who already connected Airtable from granting that connection, because the grant route applies the same hidden-entry check. Resolve this by limiting the visibility check to catalogue exposure and new connection starts, or accept the impact explicitly, before merging.

Tier 1 gate on #2898 at dc4256fd1: hide Airtable and allowlist the walk user. Each check was run.
1. Both env vars render correctly. I rendered the chart at origin/main and at the PR head with helm template ... -f values-dev.yaml and diffed the output. The only differences are four lines, the two env vars in each of the two deployments that read them (backend and ops-runner):
HOSTED_MCP_HIDDEN_ENTRIES gains "airtable".
HOSTED_MCP_HIDDEN_ENTRY_USER_ALLOWLIST becomes {"airtable":["6a47891ee025ce2e0ca1d30b"],"sentry":["6a47891ee025ce2e0ca1d30b"]}.
Both values are valid JSON. The allowlist user ID is 24 hex characters and matches the lily-shen walk user.
2. Nothing else changed. The rendered diff has no other lines, so the Sentry allowlist, the rest of the hidden list and every other template are unchanged.
3. The owner path.visibility.ts accepts the allowlist only when every key is in the hidden list. airtable is in it, and the entry ID is exactly airtable (airtable.ts:50), so the allowlist is not rejected as malformed. The grant path (grants.ts:337) calls isHostedMcpEntryHidden(entryId, env, userId) with the authenticated owner, so the walk user's existing connection still grants. The catalogue (installableCatalogService.ts:145) still lists a hidden connection to its owner, so it can be disconnected.
Non-blocking note: "keeps working for its owner" holds for allowlisted owners only. For any other owner with an existing Airtable connection, grants.ts:337 returns 404 unknown_entry. That is the design, and it matches Sentry. The entry has never been live, so this should not bite. If it matters later, decide it then.
Assert the hosted-MCP values in the chart-render check.
CI already renders the development chart and runs kubeconform, but those checks do not assert HOSTED_MCP_HIDDEN_ENTRIES or HOSTED_MCP_HIDDEN_ENTRY_USER_ALLOWLIST. They can pass if either Airtable value is removed. Add assertions for airtable and the configured walk-user ID.

Add assertions to the development chart-render check that
HOSTED_MCP_HIDDEN_ENTRIES includes airtable and
HOSTED_MCP_HIDDEN_ENTRY_USER_ALLOWLIST includes the configured walk-user ID, so
the check fails if either value is removed.
