feat(v2): the sign-in handoff pages are drawn on the auth card - #3360
This builds the sign-in handoff pages to the approved d215 handoff frames, added in #3345. It covers two pages:
the OAuth return, /v2/oauth/complete;
the Discord bot return, /v2/discord/callback, /success and /error. The /discord/* paths from the backend are moved into /v2 by legacyV2Path.
Both now render on the shared auth card. A brand row shows the handoff: the provider tile, a wire, then the mark.
Working: a cobalt dot runs along a dotted wire. It has a reduced-motion rule.
Done: a solid wire with a check.
Error: an ink cross.
What changes
V2AuthBrand takes an optional handoff: { state, provider }.
V2DiscordCallback replaces the old MUI components/DiscordCallback.tsx, which is deleted. Both route sets point at the new page. Only the presentation and the t() strings change. It keeps:
the same requests, payload and Bearer header;
the same error param;
navigate(-1) for Back and Cancel;
the 2-second redirect to the pod.
Channel select: it now starts on "Choose a channel". The old select had no empty option, so the browser showed the first channel while Connect stayed disabled.
V2OAuthComplete: the subtitle goes, and the title is the status line. The code exchange, the redirects and the invite markers are unchanged.
Boot flash:index.tsx adds the v2 canvas class at boot for /discord/*, so the page doesn't flash dark before it redirects.
CSS: everything is in one v2.css block next to the auth card. It uses only --v2-* tokens and has no accent rails.
Where it departs from the frame
No Try again on the Discord error page. The error URL carries no pod, so there is nothing to retry. It shows one full-width Back.
The OAuth provider tile is a lock. The return URL doesn't say which provider sent the person back, so we don't guess one.
Three states the frames don't draw:
"Discord connected" shows until the redirect.
"Loading channels…" shows while channels load.
"Connecting…" shows while the integration is created.
The title uses the same class as live sign-in, so it matches the sign-in page rather than the artboard's slightly heavier title. The cross-page consistency pass checks this across every auth page.
Strings
Added under auth.discordHandoff.*, in en and zh-CN, for example 正在连接 Discord…, 选择频道 (the select), 选择一个频道 (the done title), Discord 已连接, Discord 连接失败.
Removed:auth.oauthComplete.subtitle.
Rule 62: the server's error text renders as plain text. It never goes through Trans.
Tests and checks
Tests:
new V2DiscordCallback.test.tsx;
an OAuth working-card test;
three presence guards in v2-layout-invariants.test.ts.
Full run:src/v2, src/i18n and src/components pass, 216 suites and 2,702 tests, rebased on main.
Mutations: each failed its test, then was restored.
Mutation
Fails
wire stuck on working
the error and done tests
dot animation and reduced-motion rule removed
invariant "the wire tells the state"
two-key row made one column
invariant "the done card keeps its blocks"
error line rendered as HTML
both error tests
OAuth subtitle put back
the OAuth card test
channel name dropped from the payload
the done test
Static checks: tsc is clean under src/, and eslint has 0 errors on the touched files.
Browser check: dev:live against prod, GET only.
The OAuth exchange was held open so the working state stayed on screen. The channel list came from a GET fixture.
20 captures: four states at 1440 and 390, light and dark, plus zh-CN at 390.
Every capture has 0 page overflow.
Phone keys are 44px and desktop keys 40px. The card is 400px wide at 1440 and full-bleed at 390.
…s-handoff)
The OAuth return (/v2/oauth/complete) and the Discord bot return
(/v2/discord/callback, /success, /error) now render the approved d215
handoff frames: the shared auth card, with a brand row that tells the
handoff (provider tile, a wire, the mark). Working runs a cobalt dot along
a dotted wire, done is a solid wire with a check, error an ink cross.
- V2AuthBrand takes an optional handoff {state, provider}.
- V2DiscordCallback replaces the MUI components/DiscordCallback. Same
requests, payload, error param, navigate(-1) and 2s redirect; only the
presentation and t() strings change. Connect / Cancel share a row; the
server is a fact row; the channel is a native select on the auth field.
- V2OAuthComplete drops its subtitle; the title is the status line. The
return URL does not name the provider, so its tile is a plain lock.
- index.tsx stamps v2-canvas at boot for /discord/* (it redirects into /v2).
- en + zh-CN strings; removed auth.oauthComplete.subtitle.
- Tests: V2DiscordCallback.test.tsx, the OAuth working card, and handoff
presence guards in v2-layout-invariants.

Walkthrough
The frontend adds a shared OAuth handoff presentation and a v2 Discord callback flow. Discord return routes now use the v2 callback component. English and Simplified Chinese messages, styling, and tests cover the handoff and callback states.
V2AuthBrand supports working, done, and error handoff states. The OAuth completion screen displays the working state without a subtitle. Styles and tests cover the presentation and motion behavior.
The v2 callback handles Discord errors, channel retrieval and selection, integration creation, and navigation. The legacy callback is removed. Translations, styles, and tests cover callback states and interactions.

Review round (D218) at c1a48f0. It covers code, design, layout and zh-CN. The full review ran at 5026403; the one commit since then only adds the two test assertions that review asked for.
Behaviour parity holds. I compared V2DiscordCallback line by line with the deleted MUI DiscordCallback, and these match:
the same GET /api/discord/channels/:guildId and POST /api/integrations payload, with the same Bearer header;
the same GET /api/pods/:podId, followed by a 2s navigate('/pods/<type>/<podId>') that falls back to chat;
the same params (pod_id, guild_id, server_name, error), the same error handling, and navigate(-1) for Back and Cancel.
Both route sets are swapped. legacyV2Path still maps /discord/* into /v2, and the backend's /discord/error and /discord/success redirects still resolve. V2OAuthComplete's exchange, its safeNextPath, the invite markers and exchange_failed are unchanged.
Security: no findings.
The error param, server name and channel names all render as React text. There is no dangerouslySetInnerHTML and no Trans.
In the browser, <script>x</script> and <b>Northwind</b> show as literal text with 0 injected nodes.
The only redirect is the unchanged in-app router path, so there is no open redirect.
Design passes.
Tokens only, and no accent rails.
Reduced motion parks the dot.
Light and dark are both themed.
Keys and the select are 44px on a phone and 40px on desktop. The card at 390 has a 20px inset, matching the other auth pages.
It matches the handoff frames.
The three departures are justified. There's no Try again because there's no pod to retry. The tile is a lock because the provider is unknown. The title uses the same .v2-login__title as live sign-in.
zh-CN passes. The key sets match (the _one differences already exist on main), placeholders match, there's no 您, and Latin text has half-width spaces. Nothing still uses the removed auth.oauthComplete.subtitle.
Runs. jest on src/v2, src/i18n and src/components: 216/216 suites, 2,702 tests. tsc has 0 errors under src/.
Layout browser check: dev:live against prod, GET-only, at 1440×900 and 390×844 in light and dark. Pages: /v2/discord/error?error=<script>x</script>, /v2/oauth/complete (both with no code, which redirects to exchange_failed as on main, and with the exchange held open), and /v2/discord/success with a 60-character channel name.
Page overflow is 0 in all 20 captures.
The card is 400px at 1440 and full-bleed at 390.
Every control is the right height.
The shots match the frames and the live sign-in card.
Defects: none. The PR body's zh example list is corrected.

Route the Discord callback tests through the real route tables.
renderAt derives type and mounts its own /discord/* route. The real mappings are in frontend/src/App.tsx:313-315 and frontend/src/v2/V2App.tsx:263-265. No other test enters /discord/success or /discord/error through either table, so swapping the success and error props would not fail the suite.
Add a routing test that mounts the real route table at /discord/callback, /discord/success, and /discord/error. Assert the callback, success, and error views for each path. Use the same test in both the App and V2App routers, or use a shared helper that renders the table.

Use Discord snowflake IDs in the success fixture.
The success fixture uses guild_id=g1 and channel IDs c1 and c2. The integration binding check refuses a supplied serverId or channelId that is not a 17–20 digit string. The review checklist requires fixtures to match the shapes that the real application produces. These values do not match. Because axios is fully mocked, this test never reaches that check and cannot detect a rejection of these values. Use snowflake-shaped IDs in the route, the mocks, and the assertions.

Channel discovery fails before the Discord integration exists.
On a first install, the success page calls GET /api/discord/channels/:guildId on load (V2DiscordCallback.tsx, lines 52-54). That route returns 404 unless the caller belongs to a pod that already has a Discord integration for the same guild (backend/routes/discord.ts, lines 112-121). The OAuth /callback route does not create that integration. It only redirects with pod_id, guild_id, and server_name. The integration is created by handleCreateIntegration, which needs a selected channel. The channel list is therefore empty, and no channel can be submitted.
The merge-base DiscordCallback.tsx used the same request order, so this behavior predates this PR. The V2 page keeps it.
Add a pod-scoped channel discovery step that works before a binding exists. Alternatively, change the install sequence so the binding exists before channel selection. Do not relax the membership check in /channels/:guildId.

@coderabbitai Confirmed: this is a real bug, and it predates this PR. GET /api/discord/channels/:guildId returns 404 unless the caller already has a pod with a Discord integration for that guild. The OAuth callback doesn't create one, so a first install can't list channels. The deleted MUI page made the same request in the same order, and this PR only changes how the page looks.
Fixing it means changing the install sequence or adding a pod-scoped discovery read, with the membership check left as it is. That is backend and connector work, so it's going to the connector owner as its own change and won't go into this visual PR.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
@lilyshen0722 Understood. This is a pre-existing connector bug, not a regression introduced by this visual PR. A separate connector change is appropriate. The fix must preserve the membership check.
Would you like me to open a GitHub follow-up issue for the connector owner?

…te tables
From CodeRabbit review 5764892307 on #3360:
- The success fixture now uses 18-digit Discord IDs for the guild and the
channels, the shape the integration binding check accepts.
- App.tsx and V2App.tsx each map /discord/callback, /success and /error to
the matching view. Both mappings are now pinned, so swapping the success
and error props fails the suite.

Snowflake IDs. The success fixture now uses 18-digit Discord IDs for the guild and both channels.
Route tables. A new test reads App.tsx and V2App.tsx and pins each /discord/callback, /success and /error route to its view, type prop included. I tried swapping the success and error props in V2App.tsx: the test failed, and I put the props back. I didn't mount the full routers, because V2App pulls in the whole shell; reading the route source keeps the test small and still catches the swap you described.
The Major inline point is real, but it predates this PR. I've answered it in its thread.

Route mapping: a new test reads App.tsx and V2App.tsx and pins each /discord/callback, /success and /error route to its view. Swapping the success and error props in V2App.tsx makes it fail.
Discovery bug: CodeRabbit's Major point (first-install channel discovery 404s) is real. It predates this PR, so it was answered in its thread and handed to the connectors owner.

@lilyshen0722 Thanks. I inspected the changes in 5970b830.
The success fixture uses 18-digit strings for the guild and both channel IDs.
The new assertions check all three route-to-view mappings in both route tables, including the type props. This covers the swapped-prop case without mounting the full shell.
Both nitpicks are addressed. I did not run the tests, so the mutation-test result remains author-reported.
The Major finding remains separate. Its age alone does not invalidate it. Would you like a follow-up issue for that pre-existing concern?
