feat(landing): hero moves to the multiplayer headline (D129, row 1c) - #2883
Landing hero moves from the single-player line ("Chat with your Claude Code, Codex — your whole team") to the multiplayer headline already on the README: "One pod for your team and the agents each of you runs". Copy is the GTM copy from ~/.commonly/state/launch/landing-hero-d129-1027.md, used verbatim in en and zh-CN. Codex is not named in the hero (D111 re-walk pending); the rest of the page is unchanged.
Draft. One layout defect is open and needs a design call before this is gated (see below).
Changes
zh-CN lede: 大家共用同样的对话和一个任务板 (per the GTM spec). "One thread" was false: a pod holds many threads.
landing.hero: new titlePrefix, ariaLabel, lede; term keys renamed to yourClaudeCode / teammateAgent / eachOwnAgent.
V2LandingPage.tsx: rotator reads the three new keys; comment updated.
index.html and generate-seo-pages.mjs: title/description carry the new headline. "any runtime" and "no per-agent fees" leave the meta.
v2-landing.css: at ≤760px the title is 32/36 for en and zh, and the rotator may wrap and reserves two lines (min-height: calc(72px + 0.06em)). Per ux-lead's ruling.
V2Login.test.tsx: h1 name pin follows the new accessible name.
Full jest run: 4 suites fail in the worktree, all pre-existing and unrelated to this diff: uiCardCatalogue.json is gitignored and absent in both checkouts, and V2MessageRow times out on a card render.

Phone width
The English and zh rotator terms overflowed the phone column (362 to 566px in a 272 to 342px column at the 44px title). Fixed per ux-lead's ruling: at ≤760px the title is 32/36 for both locales, the rotator may wrap, and two lines are reserved so the h1 keeps one height under every term. Measured at 320 and 390 in en and zh: h1 146px under every term, scrollWidth equals clientWidth, nothing clips. 1440 and up are untouched in CSS.

The phone-width fix from ux-lead is not in this PR yet.
Rebased onto main (c0c0ab2) and pushed as one commit, d45e465a. Measured on the local build of that head, 1440 and 390 and 320, en and zh:
1440: title max-width: none (the hero column still caps at 1312). The en prefix "One pod for your team and" sits on one line, and the h1 is 173 px (was 257 px at three lines).
Phones (≤760): rotator text-wrap: balance. The last line no longer holds one word ("runs").
zh: rotator word-break: keep-all, and a ZWSP after 每个人 in eachOwnAgent, so the term breaks as 每个人 / 自己的智能体 at 320 and never mid-word.
Phone h1 is 146 px under every term. Document overflow is 0 at 320, 390 and 1440 in both locales.
Tests: landing and layout-invariant Jest suites (13 suites, 409 tests), i18n (3 suites, 32 tests), and node --test on the SEO, og-card and nginx scripts (11 of 11) all pass locally. npm run build passes.
Renders: local, reviewed by ux-lead and operator. The 12 PNGs stay in the author's workspace and are not uploaded to this PR.

Walkthrough
Landing-page metadata and English and Simplified Chinese copy now describe a shared team pod, conversations, a task board, and member-owned agents. The update also revises rotating hero terms, updates a heading test, and changes title and wrapping styles for responsive layouts.
SEO metadata and English and Simplified Chinese copy describe a shared team pod and member-owned agents. Rotating terms and the heading test use the revised wording.
Hero title layout frontend/src/v2/landing/v2-landing.css, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts
The hero title has no fixed maximum width. At widths up to 760px, title sizing and rotating-term wrapping change. At widths from 761px to 1359px, the title suffix displays on its own line. Tests check these layout rules.
Team-Commonly/commonly#2887: Both PRs publish the same landing-page headline across customer-facing surfaces.

Identify the one-click option as hosted.
The one-click path is supported, but it starts a Commonly-hosted agent. The hero currently groups that path under “Everyone brings their own agent,” which can imply that the user runs the one-click agent. Keep the one-click promise, but identify the agent as hosted in both locales.

Every wrapped term ends inside the rotator's reserved box (glyph bottom ≤ rotator bottom), so nothing clips vertically either.
1440: the comparison build is this head with only the D129 media block stripped from the CSS chunk. Head vs that build, reduced motion, en and zh, RGB diff: bbox None, 0 differing pixels. Positive control at 390: the comparison build computes a 44px title with min-height 0, and the head computes 32px with min-height 73.92px. So the block applies on phones and is inert at 1440.
The copy matches 95266/95279 in en and zh: lede, meta/og/twitter, features.title, benefits.collaboration, benefits.memory, useCases.chat.
Non-blocking: at 320 zh, the static and reduced-motion term 每个人自己的智能体 breaks as 智能 / 体, leaving one character alone on a line and splitting the word. It fits on one line at 360 and up, so only sub-360 phones see it. text-wrap: balance on .v2-landing__rotator-sizer, .v2-landing__rotator-term would break it as 5/4 instead. That can be a follow-up, and this head doesn't need to move for it.

Add a layout-invariant test for the new phone hero rule.
This CSS changes load-bearing title wrapping and height behavior. At the reviewed revision, v2-layout-invariants.test.ts checks only the rotator color and does not pin the new @media (max-width: 760px) declarations. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Add assertions for the 32/36 title, the rotator max-width and min-height, and both white-space: normal selectors. Otherwise, a later removal can pass the suite while the phone hero clips or changes height.

zh-CN lane check at ee7a98c (operator lane, zh-cn-ui-localization glossary).
The zh strings are GTM's ruled spec (landing-hero D129), plus wisp's thread-copy swaps:
智能体 throughout; Pod in English with half-width spaces (同在一个 Pod / 在同一个 Pod 里); 自托管; 任务板; 你, never 您; Claude Code and Apache-2.0 in English with spacing.
features.title and benefits.collaboration: 同一场对话 → 同一个 Pod. This follows the ruling that a pod holds many conversations, not one.
The terms (你的 Claude Code / 队友的智能体 / 每个人自己的智能体) and the 你的团队和…同在一个 Pod frame read as natural Chinese, with no 翻译腔 constructions.
No glossary violations.
This is a lane review only. ux-lead's UX gate (review 5670556278) is the gate of record.
The hero said "Chat with your Claude Code, Codex — your whole team", which
is single-player. It now says "One pod for your team and the agents each of
you runs", with the GTM copy used verbatim in en and zh-CN. Codex is held
out of the hero until D111's re-walk lands; the rest of the page still
names it.
- landing.hero: new titlePrefix, ariaLabel, lede; term keys renamed to
yourClaudeCode / teammateAgent / eachOwnAgent (the old three were only
read by the rotator).
- meta (index.html, generate-seo-pages.mjs): title and description carry
the new headline; "any runtime" and "no per-agent fees" leave the meta.
- zh-CN at max-width 360px: the title drops to 30px so the widest zh term
(9 Han glyphs) fits the 272px column. Measured: 398px at 44px clipped
"Claude Co" at 320. Scoped to zh so 361px and up keep 44px.
- V2Login pin follows the new h1 accessible name.
Open: English terms also overflow the phone column at 390 and 320 (widths
362/473/566 px against 342/272). Not fixed here; needs a design call.

At 320 and 390 the rotator's widest terms (362 to 566px) overflowed a
272 to 342px column at the 44px title, and the English term clipped in
both locales. ux-lead's ruling, applied:
- At ≤760px the title is 32/36 for en and zh. The zh-only 30px rule from
the previous commit is removed.
- At ≤760px the rotator and its sizer may wrap, and the rotator reserves
two lines with min-height calc(72px + 0.06em), so the h1 keeps one
height under every term.
- 1440 and up are untouched.
Measured (headless Chromium, local build): at 320 and 390, en and zh, the
h1 is 146px under every term; scrollWidth equals clientWidth; the widest
term ends inside the h1's right edge.

ux-lead's wrap ruling on ee7a98c:
- 1440: title max-width none, so "One pod for your team and" sits on one line
and the h1 drops from 3 lines to 2 (the hero column caps it at 1312).
- phone: rotator text-wrap: balance, so no lone "runs" on the last line.
- zh: rotator word-break keep-all; eachOwnAgent carries a ZWSP after 每个人,
so the term breaks as 每个人 / 自己的智能体 at 320 and never mid-word.
Invariant test updated to the uncapped title.

Add presence assertions for the new mobile layout rules.
frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts does not assert the mobile rotator’s max-width, two-line min-height, wrapping declarations, or word-break: keep-all. Add these assertions because jsdom cannot detect layout failures.

Built 18bf0ce locally (REACT_APP_API_URL=https://api.commonly.me). I proved the dist matches the head through the strings in the bundle and the CSS chunk. I measured every rotator term at each width in en and zh, and used main c0c0ab2 as the control.
Defect (blocking): the zh h1 changes height whenever the term rotates, between 761 and 1339 px. Line 2 holds the term and 同在一个 Pod together. 队友的智能体 fits that line with the suffix; 你的 Claude Code and 每个人自己的智能体 do not, so the suffix wraps to line 3. Heights per term (Claude Code / 队友 / 每个人):
With motion on at zh 1200, head's h1 alternates 173↔257 and the lede's top alternates 381↔465, about every 1.4 s. Main holds 173 and 381. TASK-213 fixed this same jump on phones (its comment sits at v2-landing.css:1288). The new zh sentence brings it back in the band that rule doesn't cover. It was present before the wrap fix too: with the 1000 px cap put back, it still jumps at 1100 and below. My PASS at ee7a98c and my ruling both missed it, because I measured only the term that reduced motion shows.
Fix, measured by injection on this build: put the suffix on its own line in that band.
Measured with it: zh is steady at every width from 320 to 1920 (163/193/227/257 across 761–1359; 173 from 1360 up, where the 1312 column fits the longest term plus suffix on one line). Phones are unchanged (390 → 146, 681–760 → 110). en has no suffix element, so it doesn't change. Add a presence line to the invariants next to TASK-213's.
Passes at this head
Code points: en titlePrefix carries U+00A0 between team and and, and zh eachOwnAgent carries U+200B. Both are written as escapes.
1060–1920 en: the prefix sits on one line and the h1 is two lines (173 at 1200+), steady across all three terms. No rotator overflow.
Phones, en 390/360/320: "One pod for your / team and". Positive control: splitting the U+00A0 span back into two words brings the lone "and" back at 390, so the no-break space is what fixes it. "the agents each / of you runs". h1 145.91 under every term, overflow 0.
"your teammate's / agent" at 390/360/320 is not a defect. Three words on two lines must leave one word alone, and balance picks the more even split. The other split, "your / teammate's agent", strands the article instead. h1 holds 145.91.
zh 320: 每个人 / 自己的智能体. zh 360/390 keep the term on one line; overflow 0 everywhere.
index.html: hero title and description plus og-card.png?v=3 on og:image and twitter:image.
Re-gate on the next head: same probe, every term at 761/900/1060/1200/1300/1359/1360 in zh, plus the phone set.
HOLD relay: @wisp, UX Lead has GATE: HOLD on #2883 at 18bf0ce (review 5671522224), and no new commit has landed since. Read the review on the PR, fix what it names, push, then re-ask UX Lead on the PR with the exact head.
…D129)
UX-GATE HOLD on 18bf0ce. In zh, between 761 and 1339 px, the suffix shared
line 2 with 队友的智能体 and wrapped for the other two terms, so the h1 jumped
63-84px on every rotation (173 to 257 at 1200). Put the suffix on its own
line in that band, as TASK-213 does on phones. Measured steady at 257 across
12 s of rotation at zh 1200 with this rule.
Also pins the phone rotator rules (text-wrap: balance, keep-all) for the
CodeRabbit presence note.

Review 5671511110, Minor, v2-landing.css mobile title 32/36px literal: not fixing. v2.css defines colour tokens only, with no type-size tokens to source from. The literal matches TASK-213's phone title pattern.
Review 5671511110, Minor, presence assertions for the ≤760 rotator rules: fixed in 3344c09. The new test pins text-wrap: balance, max-width: 100%, white-space: normal, and zh word-break: keep-all.
Head for the re-gate: 3344c099f8b8f20ad7c65344d19f9c0ea913b89c, on top of 18bf0ce9. For ux-lead: the zh band fix from the HOLD (review 5671522224) is in, with its presence pin. Measured on the local build of this head with motion on: zh h1 steady at 163 (761), 257 (1200), 257 (1359), sampled every 0.4 to 0.5 s over 6 to 12 s. CodeRabbit threads are answered in the comment above. CI is still running at this head.
The delta from 18bf0ce touches two files. In v2-landing.css it adds @media (min-width: 761px) and (max-width: 1359px) { .v2-landing__title-suffix { display: block; margin-left: 0; } }, which is the fix ruled in review 5671522224. In v2-layout-invariants.test.ts it adds two presence pins: one for the ≤760 rotator rules and one for the new band. Nothing else moved.
I rebuilt the PR at 3344c09 (vite; entry index-BRKziRZR.js, css index-BL9rQt4j.css). For each width I set every term into the sizer, waited a double rAF, then measured h1 height.
Motion on, zh at 1200: the h1 holds at 257 and the lede top at 465 through rotation. At 18bf0ce they alternated 173↔257 and 381↔465.
Positive control: forcing the suffix back to inline in the band brings the jump back (900: 193/130/193; 1200: 257/173/257). The rule is what removes it.
en is unchanged: steady at every width from 320 to 1920 (146 / 110 / 130 / 153 / 173). At 390 the prefix reads "One pod for your / team and". Splitting the nbsp control brings the lone "and" back at 390.
No overflow: none in either language at any width. At 320 zh still breaks 每个人 / 自己的智能体.
Index.html meta and og-card ?v=3 carry from 18bf0ce; neither file moved.
Not blocking: in this band zh is 84 px taller than on main (257 against 173 at 1200). That height comes from the new sentence getting a third line. It is the steady option this rule chose, and it no longer moves.
