feat(agent-settings): one wake table per agent, heartbeat autosave (TASK-689 slices a + b-partial) - #3095
Supersedes #3071 (dart's draft). Same two commits, rebased onto main 885f23f; no push to #3071's branch.
TASK-689 slices done: (a) one wake table per agent, a row per pod with messages, board wake, heartbeat and a ⋯ menu for "Remove from pod"; (b, partial) heartbeat interval autosaves, Save-interval button removed.
Not in this PR (next slice on the row): Save identity and the policy Trust/Memory saves to autosave; memory textarea to the Memory tab; How-it-runs fold; 1440/390 light and dark screenshots against the D215 frame.
Verification: frontend jest on V2AgentSettingsPage, V2AgentWakePods and v2-layout-invariants: 314/314 pass. No browser walk yet, so this stays draft until the screenshots are on it.
…K-689 slice a)
The D215 artboard turns the repeated wake blocks into one table: a row per
pod with the message choice as a segment, board wake as a switch, heartbeat
on the same row, and the pod's actions in a ⋯ menu. The separate Pods list
folds into that table, so "Remove from pod" moves into the row's menu.
Behaviour is unchanged: the same save queue, rollback and identity guards,
and the same labels for each control. Heartbeat stays a checkbox plus an
interval select with its explicit Save interval button; autosave is slice (b).
The table stacks by data-label at 390 wide.
Tests: the remove flow opens the row menu first, the Pods heading is now the
Wake heading, and the layout invariant pins the menu surface.

Identity and persona edits now autosave after a 600 ms pause, and trust-mode changes save when selected. Wake and Pods settings now use a table with immediate heartbeat interval saves and pod removal through a per-pod actions menu. Locale strings and frontend tests reflect the updated interface.

Summary
Identity and persona autosave frontend/src/v2/agents/V2AgentIdentitySection.tsx, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2AgentSettingsPage.test.tsx
The identity editor saves changed values after a 600 ms pause and displays save status. Tests submit the form instead of clicking a Save button.
Trust mode saves on selection frontend/src/v2/agents/V2AgentPolicy.tsx, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2AgentPolicy.test.tsx
The trust-mode selector saves its selected value immediately and is disabled while saving. Tests check the update without clicking a Save button.
Wake settings table and pod actions frontend/src/v2/agents/V2AgentWakePods.tsx, frontend/src/v2/agents/v2-agent-wake-pods.css, frontend/src/i18n/locales/{en,zh-CN}.json, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2AgentWakePods.test.tsx, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2AgentSettingsPage.test.tsx
The settings view uses a table for wake controls and pod actions. Heartbeat interval changes save immediately, and removal uses a per-pod menu. Responsive styling, locale strings, and tests reflect the updated interface.
Resolve the autosave data-loss race and preserve a clear retry path for failed trust-mode changes before merging; add coverage for the pending-save guard.

Implement keyboard focus handling for the pod actions menu.
When a keyboard user opens this role="menu" with Enter or Space, focus stays on the trigger. Arrow keys and Escape have no menu behavior. Closing the menu after a canceled removal also unmounts the focused item without restoring focus. Move focus into the menu when it opens and back to the trigger when it closes, or use a plain disclosure without menu roles. Add a keyboard interaction test. The ARIA menu-button pattern requires focus on the first item when the menu opens. (w3.org)

Pin the phone table layout in the Wake and Pods presence test.
The assertions in this test check only the button and menu surfaces. They do not inspect the @media (max-width: 600px) block in v2-agent-wake-pods.css. That block sets the table, rows, and cells to full-width block elements. Removing it leaves this test passing.
The frontend path rules require a presence test for load-bearing layout CSS in frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts. Add assertions for the phone table rules:

Assert the layout change, not the existing heading.
The former layout also had a Wake heading. This assertion passes if the separate Pods section returns. Assert that the separate Pods heading is absent and that the pod table is present. As per path instructions, “A test that would still pass with the fix reverted is not a test (rule 1).”

Add a visible retry for failed identity autosaves.
184-184: Minor · Stability & Availability · Quick win
Add a visible retry for failed identity autosaves.
After persist() fails, the autosave effect does not run again because it depends only on displayName and persona. The form still has an onSubmit path, so pressing Enter can provide a workaround, but there is no visible retry control. Add a retry control or retry the pending save automatically. This is a minor issue because the form submission path may provide recovery.

Cover persona debounce autosave without form submission.
The test edits Persona notes but submits the form. Form submission calls persist() directly, so the test still passes if the 600 ms autosave effect is removed. Use fake timers, advance 600 ms, and assert the PATCH without submitting the form.

Update the test that edits Persona notes to use fake timers, advance them by 600
ms, and assert the PATCH request without submitting the form; this ensures the
assertion covers the debounce autosave rather than the direct persist path
triggered by submitting the Display name form.

Preserve edits made during a save.
If a user edits again while a PATCH is in flight, its refresh replaces installation, and Lines 83–85 reset both fields to the server response. The newer edit can disappear before its timer fires. Preserve newer drafts when applying a save response. The update callback refreshes the installation after each PATCH. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Serialize identity saves.
If a user pauses for 600 ms, edits again, and pauses while the first PATCH is still in flight, this timer starts a second PATCH. If the server applies the first request last, the older identity overwrites the newer one. Queue saves and send the latest draft after the active request completes.

Test the selector while a save is pending.

Test the selector while a save is pending.
Add a test that holds update pending, checks that the selector is disabled, and checks that it becomes enabled after completion. The existing test would pass if disabled={busy} were removed. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Restore the persisted mode after a failed save.

Restore the persisted mode after a failed save.
If a change from workspace to read-only fails, the selector still shows read-only. Selecting the same option cannot retry the save. Changing a memory tab also clears the error, leaving the unsaved mode visible. Restore the persisted mode on failure, or provide an explicit retry and retain the error. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
