feat(v2): agent Memory tab on the D215 frame (TASK-732, part 1) - #3136
TASK-732 (D223 memory rebuild), first push. Carries the slice 1 and slice 2 memory work from #3085 and #3131 onto main, without the old-structure drafts. Those two stay held, per the row.
In this PR:
Owner Memory route with the Rules / How I work / Journal split, soul first, long-term split by heading.
Search, a Section updated line once per group (no per-note time), collapsible groups at 390.
Additive section updatedAt on the owner memory index.
Not in this PR yet (so this does not count as G11 progress):
The frame restyle of the 1440 and 390 markup and tokens (waits on TASK-730 primitives).
The screenshot diff against docs/design/artboards/d215 in light and dark at 1440 and 390 on staging with dev:live and the seed. The side by side goes on this PR once it runs.
Checks run locally at 84e092a: memory and i18n jest 43/43, owner memory editor backend 9/9.

Walkthrough
This change adds a v2 agent memory page with searchable, grouped memory sections. The backend memory index now returns section update times. Agent profile and settings navigation link to the page.
Changes: Agent Memory View
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Memory index timestamps backend/routes/agentMemoryView.ts, backend/__tests__/service/agent-memory-editor.test.js
The index returns an ISO timestamp for document sections when valid. Other sections, or sections without a valid timestamp, return null. Tests check timestamps and note fields.
The page groups and searches sections, displays group counts and update times, and renders loading, denied, and ready states. Tests and styles cover page behavior and layout. Locale files add memory labels.
Memory route and agent navigation frontend/src/v2/V2App.tsx, frontend/src/v2/agents/V2AgentProfile.tsx, frontend/src/v2/agents/V2AgentSettingsPage.tsx
An authenticated route renders the memory page. Profile and settings navigation link to it.
Team-Commonly/commonly#3085: Adds the initial memory route, page, grouping, navigation, and styles. This change adds section timestamps and related display behavior.
Team-Commonly/commonly#3095: Defers moving the memory editor to a Memory tab in agent settings. This change adds that tab and navigation.
Team-Commonly/commonly#2528: Changes the memory index contract, including section revision timestamps. This change adds updatedAt to the index response and displays the timestamp.
Merge Risk: Moderate · previous review 24db6
The memory screen has confirmed responsive and localization defects, and its required layout validation is incomplete; these should be addressed before merge.

Translate the memory group labels.
The page renders these labels directly. In the Chinese interface, the three group headings and navigation links remain in English. Resolve the labels through translation keys, and add those keys to both locale files. Based on learnings, user-facing React labels should use the translation resources.

Separate request failures from access denial.
If the index request fails because of a network error or HTTP 500, this branch displays “No memory recorded yet.” The request has not established that the agent has no memory. Reserve the access notice for 401/403 responses; show a load error for other failures and test that case. As per coding guidelines, “Errors propagate with context.”

Show an empty state when no sections remain.
If the index succeeds with sections: [], the page displays an empty body without explaining the result. The same blank body appears when a search matches no notes. Render an empty-state message for both cases, and test the empty index and no-match search. As per coding guidelines, “New code path ≠ test: flag it. Name the specific test that should exist.”

Invalidate the previous index when the memory route changes.
A navigation between two URLs matching agents/:agentName/:instanceId/memory preserves V2AgentMemory. The route and feature wrapper add no parameter-based key. The first render can therefore retain the previous ready index before the parameter-dependent effect sets loading, so the previous agent’s sections can appear under the new URL.

Restore closed memory groups when switching to desktop.
If an owner collapses a group below 768px and then widens the viewport, the native <details> remains closed. The desktop rule disables pointer activation on its <summary>, so mouse users cannot reopen the group and cannot see its notes. Reopen closed groups at the desktop breakpoint before disabling the summary toggle.

Update the responsive behavior for .v2-agent-memory__gtitle so groups collapsed
below 768px are reopened when the viewport reaches the desktop breakpoint,
before disabling summary pointer activation; preserve the existing mobile

The current test only removes updatedAt, so it does not exercise the invalid-date branch. AgentMemory.collection.updateOne can store an invalid string, and the index query uses .lean(), so the value reaches isoOrNull unchanged. Removing the invalid-date guard would make toISOString() throw.

Test phone pointer interaction.

Test phone pointer interaction.
This assertion passes if pointer-events: auto changes to none. Phone users would then be unable to collapse or reopen groups with a pointer. Assert the phone pointer-events declaration as well. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

…urnal (TASK-732)
Carries the slice 1 and slice 2 memory work (#3085, #3131) onto main
without the old-structure drafts. Adds the owner Memory route, the group
split (Rules, How I work, Journal), the search, the section update line
per group, the collapsible 390 layout, and the additive section updatedAt
on the owner memory index. The frame restyle and the staging screenshot
diff are not in this commit yet.

What the review covered: the carried-over memory behaviour (Rules / How I work / Journal split, search, one Section updated line per group, 390 collapse), the owner index updatedAt, the layout presence tests, and the radii and shadows now on Signal tokens (#3137 merged in). Focused jest is 329/329. CodeRabbit threads are all answered. CI is running at this head and I have not seen it go green yet.
Known gaps, fix forward after the frame diff (not blocking): the frame's Identity and Shared nav entries are not drawn, per-note hover actions (pin, edit, more) are missing, and the journal date is in the sans face rather than mono. The frame-diff on staging after merge will measure these.

Do not use pointer-events as the desktop collapse guard.

Do not use pointer-events as the desktop collapse guard.
pointer-events: none blocks pointer targeting, but it does not remove keyboard focus. The rendered <summary> remains a native disclosure control and can toggle the open <details> with Enter or Space. Desktop hides the chevron, so users can collapse a group without a visible affordance. Render a non-disclosure heading on desktop, or prevent the native toggle in the component. Let long memory text wrap within the group column.
171-175: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Let long memory text wrap within the group column.
Long unbroken text in a memory note or journal entry does not break. The group column can then grow to the width of that text and extend past the memory body. Set min-width: 0 on the group, and allow the text cells to break long words.
Add a presence test for these rules in frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts. The frontend/src/v2/** rule requires layout-invariant tests for overflow-related CSS, because jsdom has no layout engine.

Translate the Rules, How I work, and Journal group headings.

Translate the Rules, How I work, and Journal headings instead of rendering their

The changed v2 layout CSS requires a real-browser check at 390px and 1440px in light and dark modes. CSS text-presence tests cannot detect computed-layout, overflow, or disclosure-state issues.
