TASK-687 (D223): the task board rebuilt to the board frame in docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html.

  • Header: pod name, count, Mine / P0 / Unclaimed chips, search, New task.
  • Focus is one 40px strip (goal, N/N done); the full focus detail opens from it.
  • Three columns plus a 120px done rail; "Show" swaps the rail for the Done column.
  • Cards: id, priority mark, lease line, two-line title; Start/Block on hover or focus.
  • 390px: Pending / In progress / Blocked / Done segment tabs over one card list.
  • Drawer, focus editor and create dialog are unchanged. Supersedes fix(board): match D215 task cards to the artboard (TASK-687) #3134.

Tests: V2PodBoard (new filter and done-rail case), layout invariants (grid and tabs), i18n number-unit spacing. Frame-diff screenshots at 1440/390, light and dark, follow in a comment. Needs #3137 merged before it can land.

Header with Mine/P0/Unclaimed chips and search, a 40px focus strip,
three columns plus a 120px done rail, two-line cards with hover actions,

The V2 Pod Board adds task filters and search, a collapsible focus panel, mobile status tabs, and controls for showing completed tasks. English and Simplified Chinese locales add labels for the board controls.

frontend/src/v2/components/V2PodBoard.tsx, frontend/src/v2/v2.css, frontend/src/i18n/locales/en.json, frontend/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN.json
Task lists respond to ownership, priority, unclaimed, and text-search filters. The header adds filter and search controls. The focus panel is collapsible and shows the goal and completion count when next tasks exist. English and Simplified Chinese locales add the related labels.
Responsive columns and completed-task rail
frontend/src/v2/components/V2PodBoard.tsx, frontend/src/v2/v2.css, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2PodBoard.test.tsx, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts
The board adds mobile status tabs, a completed-task rail, and a control to reveal the Done column. Task cards use a compact layout. At widths up to 760px, the board shows the active status column. Tests check the P0 filter, completed-task control, and layout invariants.

Change: Feature

Possibly related issues

  • Issue 1400: The board hierarchy, focus panel, filters, columns, cards, and mobile layout change the task-panel presentation. The change does not establish that it fully resolves the reported scanning difficulty.
  • Issue 709: The Simplified Chinese board strings contribute to the v2 translation scope. This change does not add the full language switch or translate the full product.
Merge Risk: Moderate · previous review d1a0d

The board retains an unresolved mobile accessibility issue and incomplete or stale regression coverage, so these findings should be addressed before merging.

Head 06eea38: PASS on the frame diff and the code read (own Sonnet subagent review, UI change, not a sensitive area).

Frame diff at 1440 and 390, light and dark, against docs/design/artboards/d215 (mocked API, headless): structure matches (header with chips and search, boxed focus strip, three columns plus the 120px done rail, two-line cards, mobile segment tabs, columns scroll on their own). Fixed in this head: page gutter, header height, owner-line clipping, card clipping under an expanded focus, mobile header and cards.

Known remaining drift, follow-up: column header glyphs and per-column "+", lightning icon on the focus strip, avatar on the card's first line, hover actions as icon buttons at top right, mobile chip placement. Mine matches on username or _id only. Screenshots are not attached here (no upload route from the seat); side-by-sides are in the seat's /tmp/otto-687-shots and will go on request.

Not yet PRESS-READY: #3137 is still open; this needs a rebase onto it.

Keep the header controls reachable when search opens.

At widths just above 760px, opening search adds a 180px input to a header that cannot wrap. The chips, buttons, gaps, and padding can exceed the available pane width; the pod title shrinks to zero and controls can extend beyond the clipped pane. Let the controls wrap before that breakpoint, or give search its own row.

Make the compact card rule override the existing button rule.

The earlier .v2-root button.v2-board__card-main rule sets display: flex and padding: 12px. Its higher specificity defeats the new display: grid and padding: 0, so every card retains an extra inner inset instead of the intended compact layout. Match the earlier selector’s specificity when overriding it.

Expose focus-load failures without requiring disclosure.

If loadFocus() fails, the closed <details> still shows the generic focus title. The error and Retry control are hidden inside the disclosure. Put a failure indication in the summary, or open the disclosure on failure, so users can discover and retry the failed read. A closed <details> displays its summary but hides its other content. Filter Unclaimed by claim state, not assignment.

assignee and claimedBy represent different states. A pending task can be assigned while no claimant holds it. ownerLine displays that state as assigned and not claimed, but the current filter removes it.

Use the same claim predicate as ownerLine:

Suggested fix

Keep an accessible name on the back button at 760px and narrower.

At 760px and narrower, display: none removes the back button's only text. Its icon is aria-hidden, and the button has no other name source. Screen readers announce it without a name. Hide the label visually and keep it in the accessibility tree.

Add presence tests for the new scroll rules.

The existing column-scroll test reads the earlier .v2-board__col rule, not the new .v2-board__col-body scroller. The new board test does not check the mobile scroll or active-column rules. Add scoped assertions that fail when these declarations are removed. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Keep the owner line visible when mobile actions are hidden.

At mobile widths, the preceding media rule sets .v2-board__card-actions to display: none, including for :focus-within. This rule still hides .v2-board__owner-line when the card receives focus. A focused mobile card therefore shows neither the action bar nor the owner metadata. Scope this hiding rule to desktop or hover-capable layouts.

Retarget the focus-panel invariant to the new open rule.

The board now uses a 40px summary strip and applies max-height: 40vh with scrolling to .v2-board__focus[open]. This test still expects max-height: min(35vh, 260px) from the earlier legacy rule. Assert the [open] rule and the summary height so the test covers the changed behavior.
As per path instructions, the test must fail when the changed focus behavior is reverted.

`.v2-board__focus[open]` and assert its `max-height: 40vh` and scrolling
behavior, while also asserting the 40px summary height. Remove the obsolete
expectation for `max-height: min(35vh, 260px)` so the test fails if the new
behavior is reverted.

Add coverage for the move-button focus ring.

The CSS applies the focus outline to both .v2-board__card-main and .v2-board__card-move, but this assertion checks only the main card button. Add a paired assertion for .v2-board__card-move.
As per path instructions, every changed behavior needs a test that fails when the behavior is reverted.

Add a paired focus-ring assertion alongside the existing `.v2-board__card-main`
check in the v2 layout invariants test, verifying that
`.v2-board__card-move:focus-visible` also has a 2px solid outline.

`.v2-board__card:hover` and `:focus-within` so it applies only to desktop or
hover-capable layouts. At mobile widths, keep the owner line visible when card
actions are hidden.
