Add the classify_definitions string modes to the help file.
README Line 507 documents that grep.classify_definitions accepts 'classify', 'definition_only', and 'usage_only'. This help text does not mention these values. Lines 363-371 do not mention them, and Line 319 does not either. The PR objectives say this documentation was restored, but it is missing here. Neovim users cannot discover the option values from :help.

Preserve incomplete fuzzy searches.
When the fuzzy stage hits its 2-second budget after scanning only part of the index, native grep can return zero matches with a nonzero next_file_offset. The MCP loop resets that offset to zero and advances to the next stage. Remaining files are then skipped, so MCP can miss matches or report no matches.

Preserve an empty fuzzy continuation cursor.
The fuzzy search can stop on its time budget before all files are searched. If it returns no items with nextCursor, keep that cursor. Otherwise Pi skips the remaining files and can report “No matching definitions or other matches found.”

usage_only is public API, so it keeps the file-path and literal retries of unfiltered grep. MCP definition search now reports a file path that matches no indexed file, searches all files instead, and ignores literal retries that would drop exclusions.
…uzzy stages References and fuzzy matches use classify, so a file-path retry that widens the search still shows the definition it finds. Each fuzzy stage has a 2 s budget, and a budget spent without matches moves to the next stage. Missing file guesses compare paths case-insensitively like core.

ffgrepnow try exact definitions, exact usages, fuzzy definitions, then fuzzy usages whendefinitions_onlyis true. Each fallback starts only after a complete search with zero matches; cursors retain the active stage, effective query, and file constraints.Empty partial pages keep their current stage. Once a stage returns matches, its final page does not restart a broader search. Definition fallbacks keep exclusions. A file path that matches no indexed file gets a notice, and the search covers all files.
Multi-grep stays literal: definitions, then ordinary matches. The model-facing API remains
