Summary

Carry four GUI, desktop and Connect improvements onto dev, retaining one commit per source PR and original authorship:

Excluded: #4649 by @x3M3x. Its revocable remembered-device sessions rework changes dashboard authentication, cookie possession, revocation and persistent credential-derived state. Independent maintainer security review and the source's draft security disposition remain outstanding; this lane does not decide that boundary. Leave the source open for that review.

The carry reconciles test-layout entries, keeps all 11 locale catalogs exhaustive, and reflows two architecture contracts within their existing 600-line budgets. No file-size cap was raised, and no dependencies or workflow policy changed. Windows trust changes in #6691 still need coordinator/maintainer security review before merge. Lane L4 integration must be reconciled by the coordinator when refreshing the bundle against the merged dev.

Source screenshots are reused as historical visual evidence; they are not new screenshots of this bundle head:

L8-fix2: native Windows fixture timeout (head 682f77fd225daf24b6f53da4b23a29b94fb2b6f1). Merged origin/dev at c03eafd46bdae15aba058850e409c0598309e2ed without rebasing and retained both sides of the expected-layout conflict. The only repair is in tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-relay-intent.test.ts:122-133: the selected-profile recovery case now has the same 30-second native-I/O budget as existing picker restart tests, and a failed profile application displays its complete result object. Production relay gating and all recovery assertions remain unchanged.

The coordinator's real Windows union log (integ7-eac5b8b) records killed 1 dangling process and an explicit this test timed out after 5000ms at the profile application. This call takes the real lifecycle lock, which resolves the effective Windows identity through PowerShell, and publishes files through required Windows ACL hardening. Passing platform: "win32" on Linux exercises picker decisions but does not execute those host-native steps. The three corrected Windows runs take 7.5–8.8 seconds for this case, demonstrating why its former 5-second deadline interrupted setup. No trust-store mutation is needed by this fixture.

Exact-head remote proof (Bun 1.4.3) Result
mini L8w-682f77f Typecheck/test exits 0/0; 6 pass / 0 fail; recovery case 8,760.95 ms.
mini L8w-682f77f-2 Typecheck/test exits 0/0; 6 pass / 0 fail; recovery case 7,760.04 ms.
mini L8w-682f77f-3 Typecheck/test exits 0/0; 6 pass / 0 fail; recovery case 7,510.12 ms.
lidge L8-682f77f-focus-2 Typecheck/test exits 0/0; 162 pass / 1 skip / 0 fail, 11 files including picker profiles/runtime/recovery, Windows picker/trust, layout, structure and file-size guards.
lidge L8-682f77f full suite Typecheck/test exits 0/1; 48,601 pass / 30 fail / 146 skip, all 26 runner lanes completed in 456 s. The picker recovery case passes (15.65 ms).
lidge baseline dev-c03eafd Same-host c03eafd46bdae15aba058850e409c0598309e2ed, Bun 1.4.3: typecheck/test exits 0/1, 48,553 pass / 29 fail / 145 skip, 26 runner lanes.
lidge ~/bin/ocx-lane-cmp.sh L8-682f77f dev-c03eafd All 29 baseline failure names remain; one new failure name: gpt-6-astra reaches /responses on responses inbound replay, an explicit 5,000 ms timeout in tests/providers/github-copilot/github-copilot-wire-defaults.test.ts. No baseline failure is absent.
lidge L8-682f77f-wire-focus Typecheck/test exits 0/0, 72 pass / 0 fail in that Copilot file. The timed-out case completes in 594.99 ms. This does not turn the nonzero full-suite run into a pass.

The additional Copilot command was ~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 53 682f77fd225daf24b6f53da4b23a29b94fb2b6f1 L8-682f77f-wire-focus tests/providers/github-copilot/github-copilot-wire-defaults.test.ts. That file and its provider implementation have no diff against the merged dev baseline. The full job was requeued once while still unstarted after prolonged slot starvation, using the same prescribed two-slot command; only the completed execution above is test evidence.

All three mini launches occurred only after integ7-eac5b8b.summary reported STATE=done, used the specified detached launcher with sleep 5, and were sequential. The focused command on mini was OCX_TEST_NO_QUEUE=1 OCX_LANE_SLOTS=6 nohup ~/bin/ocx-lane-ci2.sh 682f77fd225daf24b6f53da4b23a29b94fb2b6f1 <label> tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-relay-intent.test.ts. Lidge used ~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 53 <sha> L8-682f77f-focus-2 <11 files> and ~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 2 <sha> L8-682f77f. Logs and complete command arguments are in ~/ocx-lane/logs/<label>.summary, .log, .log.typecheck and .log.setup on each host.

The first completed lidge focused run (L8-682f77f-focus) had 161 pass / 1 skip / 1 fail: the existing busy-egress recovery case failed during profile application while other profile suites ran concurrently. The baseline passes that case, and repeating the same files at unchanged head passed all cases; contention is a hypothesis, not a proven cause. The earlier initial focus process was stopped during setup by the launch helper's prefix match when the full label launched; it supplies no test evidence. Local tests, typechecks, builds and lint were NOT RUN by user instruction. git diff --check passes. Native Desktop interaction and hosted Windows CI are not claimed. Coordinator/maintainer security review of the carried Windows trust changes remains outstanding.

Hosted checks at this head are not green: gates fails four assertions in gui/tests/models-keep-native-v1-placement.test.ts:12,22,30,43; the aggregate ci gate also reports a skipped requested desktop-shell job. These are outside the bounded L8-fix2 repair and remain for coordinator disposition.

Earlier verification (historical heads; not current-head certification).

L8-fix security correction (current head). Windows now creates its picker runtime and unauthenticated loopback CONNECT relay only when picker activation is desired or a selected, already-applied profile requires recovery (src/claude/intercept/runtime.ts:231,265). Picker off, Desktop integration off, and gateway mode bind no picker relay. Recovery after authority failure still binds the selected profile's recorded port as a blind relay and preserves its profile-state bytes. The unconditional dormant macOS relay already exists on dev; this change preserves that behavior, with regression coverage. The inspected dev runtime blob matches GitHub's current dev file (0c5dff8b0999d7359b38ee581491665ddfe2c90d).

Current head: f452ada29c18702809a02df6a9e6788116cf24bd, tree 503e9cc3c21b525d9e492e0fe0017ea70e1adc99. All validation executed on lidge, Bun 1.4.3. Local tests, typechecks, builds, lint and dependency installation were NOT RUN by user rule. No real Windows trust-store mutation or native Windows desktop interaction is claimed. Coordinator/maintainer security review remains required before merge.

Regression before the production fix at 61ca313bf77c04cd70e5faf063f18bd8ea229126 L8-61ca313-focus; ~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 31 61ca313bf77c04cd70e5faf063f18bd8ea229126 L8-61ca313-focus tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-relay-intent.test.ts TYPECHECK_EXIT=0, TEST_EXIT=1; 3 pass / 3 fail. Only the preference-off, integration-off and gateway-mode cases fail, each observing two bound proxies instead of one. Enabled, applied-profile recovery and macOS controls pass.
Current-head focused regression and contract gates L8-f452ada-focus; launch command below TYPECHECK_EXIT=0, TEST_EXIT=0; 154 pass / 1 skip / 0 fail, 10 files. All six new regression cases pass. The skip requires native Windows PowerShell.
Current-head full root suite and typecheck ~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 2 f452ada29c18702809a02df6a9e6788116cf24bd L8-f452ada TYPECHECK_EXIT=0, TEST_EXIT=1; 47,907 pass / 29 fail / 145 skip. All 26 runner lanes completed.
Same-host full baseline comparison ~/bin/ocx-lane-cmp.sh L8-f452ada against base-dev-4ae49360b Baseline 47,857 pass / 30 fail / 144 skip; zero new failure names. All 29 failures occur in the baseline; one baseline failure is absent. Both typechecks have zero errors.

The focused command was:

~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 31 f452ada29c18702809a02df6a9e6788116cf24bd L8-f452ada-focus tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-relay-intent.test.ts tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-runtime.test.ts tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-windows.test.ts tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-startup.test.ts tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-recovery.test.ts tests/claude-integration/claude-picker-trust-windows.test.ts tests/test-layout.test.ts tests/test-layout-tooling.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/structure-ssot.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts

~/bin/ocx-lane-cmp.sh L8-f452ada-focus also reports zero new failure names within that focused scope; omitted baseline suites are not counted as fixes. Exact-head evidence is in ~/ocx-lane/logs/<label>.summary, .log, .log.typecheck and .log.setup on lidge. Totals above use the comparison helper's aggregation across the entire full-suite log. The root suite remains nonzero because of the 29 baseline-known failures; hosted CI success is not claimed.

The new test file is registered in both scripts/test-layout/layout.json and tests/fixtures/test-layout-expected.json. Layout, structure and file-size guards pass remotely, no file-size cap was raised, and git diff --check passes. The fix commit includes Co-authored-by: hyuntae park <bluestar218ht@gmail.com>, taken from the #6691 carry commit's author identity. Working-tree changes are confined to this lane.

Earlier bundle evidence (before the security fix; historical scope follows).

All execution was remote on lidge, Bun 1.4.3. Local tests, typechecks, builds, lint and dependency installation were NOT RUN by user rule. Hosted GitHub checks remain queued; hosted CI success is not claimed.

Previous-head full root suite + typecheck ~/bin/ocx-lane-launch.sh 2 08c4fae4c31e350e0b832343b1a0540e58b715cd L8-08c4fae TYPECHECK_EXIT=0, TEST_EXIT=1; 47,901 pass / 29 fail / 145 skip; all 26 runner lanes completed.
Same-host baseline comparison ~/bin/ocx-lane-cmp.sh L8-08c4fae against base-dev-4ae49360b Baseline 47,857 pass / 30 fail / 144 skip. Zero new failure names; all 29 final failures are present in the baseline; one baseline failure absent.
Previous-head policy/auth regression follow-up L8-08c4fae-focus; launch helper with tests/config/client-config-export-new-clients.test.ts tests/server/server-auth.test.ts Typecheck/test exits 0/0, 151 pass / 0 fail, 2 files.
Picker, uninstall, Gentle Shell, integration, layout, ratchet, structure and skill regressions at cf964c1 L8-cf964c1-focus, 12 focused files Typecheck/test exits 0/0, 242 pass / 1 skip / 0 fail. The skip requires native Windows PowerShell.
Full GUI suite at cf964c1 Remote gui/: bun run test 3,385 pass / 0 fail, 346 files. GUI lint and i18n lint both exit 0. The final commit changes only a root test expectation; the GUI tree is identical (191db8a1d078b765ec6f034e80d4390bddd5fab6).
Previous-head GUI production build Full/focused runner setup: frozen installs, then remote gui/ bun run build Exit 0.
Docs build at d2413a3 Remote docs-site/: bun install --frozen-lockfile then bun run build Exit 0, 577 pages / 81,318 internal links. Final docs tree is identical (1bcbc095bd653686c62a4ec3706dde43b3ea7c50).
Privacy at cf964c1 Remote bun run privacy:scan Exit 0.
mini NOT RUN The later explicit instructions say “Use ONLY lidge” and “Do NOT queue mini runs”; the coordinator validates union candidates on mini. This supersedes the earlier two-host lane requirement.

Evidence is in ~/ocx-lane/logs/<label>.summary, .log, .log.typecheck and .log.setup on lidge. Totals above aggregate the entire log with the comparison helper; the summary's trailing totals cover only its last test lanes. The final root exit remains 1 because of the 29 baseline-known failures.

Repair history: the first GUI run found six Gentle Shell omissions (roster expectations, intentional product-name allowlists, and the Connect tab monogram); the separate credited follow-up fixes them. The first full root run at cf964c1 had 47,899 pass / 31 fail / 145 skip and exposed one further loopback-client expectation, fixed in 08c4fae, plus a transient sequential WebSocket watchdog. Both policy and auth cases pass in the final full run and the 151-test focused follow-up. The earlier queued L8-d2413a3 full run was cancelled as superseded before executing its suite.

Static inspection: every new root test is registered in both layout/expected maps; all 11 locale catalogs have the same 3,950 keys; no capped source/test file grew; the CLI surface wording matches its generated reference; structure documents remain within their existing budgets; final git diff --check passed. No real Windows trust-store mutation, native desktop interaction, real-phone test or new browser smoke is claimed for this bundle. Source screenshots above are historical evidence.

📝 Walkthrough

This pull request adds Windows Claude Desktop picker support, registers Gentle Shell as a managed integration, adds multi-pane remote sessions, and updates Combo model selection to include hidden models. It also updates related tests, documentation, localization, and desktop drag-and-drop handling.

Changes: Windows Claude Desktop picker

Layer / File(s) Summary
Platform support, Windows trust, lifecycle, and validation
src/claude/..., src/cli/uninstall-client-state.ts, tests/claude-integration/...
Picker support includes Windows. Windows trust operations use the current-user Root store and validate certificate identity. Startup, relay selection, uninstall, CLI, GUI, documentation, and integration tests cover the updated lifecycle.
System-proxy assessment
src/claude/desktop-system-proxy.ts, src/cli/doctor.ts, tests/claude-integration/...
The collector asynchronously verifies an available picker relay before skipping Windows registry assessment. Doctor awaits the collector.
Gentle Shell integration
src/clients/..., src/integrations/..., src/cli/..., gui/src/pages/integrations/..., gui/src/i18n/*, docs-site/..., tests/clients/...
Gentle Shell is added to export and integration registries. Its path resolver uses launcher configuration, environment settings, or the default path, and rejects unsafe or Pi-aliasing destinations.
Remote multi-pane workspace
gui/src/components/remote-workspace/*, gui/src/pages/RemoteWorkspace.tsx, gui/src/styles-remote-workspace.css, desktop/src-tauri/src/lib.rs, gui/tests/remote-workspace-*
The dashboard supports up to four panes with per-session prompt and stop state. Layout metadata persists by API base; drafts and output remain in memory. The desktop webview disables native drag-and-drop handling.
Hidden Combo models
gui/src/pages/Combos.tsx, gui/tests/combo-capability-hidden-targets.test.tsx, docs-site/..., structure/dashboard-and-usage.md
Combo selectors include hidden models without changing external visibility. Disabled providers, nested combos, and decision-service-only JEV providers remain excluded. The workspace cache namespace changes from v1 to v2.

P2 Badge Detect case-insensitive Pi aliases on macOS

On a default case-insensitive macOS filesystem, when ~/.pi does not exist yet, a saved Gentle Shell home such as /Users/me/.PI/agent resolves only as far as the existing home directory and preserves the unmatched component's case. This comparison therefore treats it as distinct from /Users/me/.pi/agent, although both names will address the same directory once the integration creates it. Gentle Shell can consequently claim Pi's future models.json, causing the Pi integration to conflict with or modify the same catalog; the alias check needs to account for the actual filesystem's case sensitivity for unresolved suffixes rather than folding only on Windows.

2076-2077: 🎯 Functional Correctness

No actionable build finding is established.

The GUI guideline requires bun run build before claiming completion, but the supplied status is not independent evidence that the command was skipped or failed. The cited Vietnamese locale entries show no functional defect. A missing validation result alone does not support this review comment.

The manual Windows-host requirement is unsubstantiated. The implementation comments assume that X509Store.Add and Remove display confirmation dialogs, but the official .NET contract does not establish that behavior. Repository policy requires focused tests and typechecking, not real Windows trust-store mutation before merge.

The repository requires bun run build before claiming a scoped GUI change is complete. However, the available evidence does not establish that completion was claimed or that the build was skipped or failed. The rule does not require a validation report, and the Russian strings show no functional defect.

Restore the Models → Combos navigation path.

The Traditional Chinese guide says to select Combos directly, but the dashboard exposes Combos as a tab under Models. Update this sentence to match the actual navigation path.

Scope localSession to its Hub.

When apiBase changes from Hub A to Hub B, RemoteWorkspace preserves the Hub A session if Hub B’s snapshot omits its ID. The keyed chat receives that stale session, so the user can open it and send actions to Hub B with an ID that Hub B does not own. The prompt request returns a session-not-ready error, and the stop request returns 404.

Store the creating apiBase with localSession and merge it only when it matches the current base. This fixes the parent state independently of the chat remount.

Suggested fix
-  const [localSession, setLocalSession] = useState<RemoteSession | null>(null);
+  const [localSession, setLocalSession] = useState<{ apiBase: string; session: RemoteSession } | null>(null);
...
+  const localSessionForBase = localSession?.apiBase === apiBase ? localSession.session : null;
   const remoteSessions = state?.sessions ?? [];
-  const sessions = localSession && !remoteSessions.some(session => session.id === localSession.id)
-    ? [...remoteSessions, localSession] : remoteSessions;
-  if (localSession && state?.sessions.some(session => session.id === localSession.id)) setLocalSession(null);
+  const sessions = localSessionForBase && !remoteSessions.some(session => session.id === localSessionForBase.id)
+    ? [...remoteSessions, localSessionForBase] : remoteSessions;
+  if (localSessionForBase && state?.sessions.some(session => session.id === localSessionForBase.id)) setLocalSession(null);
...
-      setLocalSession(session);
+      setLocalSession({ apiBase, session });

Do not classify Gentle Shell path errors as an absent client.

gentleShellPaths already treats a missing launcher config as the isolated default. Read failures and unsafe shared-home selections throw ClientPathError. Because this registry entry always provides unresolvedPathHint, readIntegrationState converts those errors into state: "absent" instead of state: "unsafe".

Remove the Gentle Shell hint:

This makes a failed resolution report unsafe, not absent. installed: false and omission of ownership metadata are separate consequences of the generic catch: the catch hard-codes installed: false, and the ownership record is read only after path resolution. Removing this hint does not restore that metadata.

Remove unresolvedPathHint from the gentle-shell registry entry so
path-resolution failures remain classified as unsafe rather than absent.

The full remote suite exposed one additional exhaustive export-client expectation. Keep the existing remote admission policy assertion exhaustive for the new Pi-protocol client.

Exercise real loopback CONNECT handlers for disabled intent, enabled picker intent, and blind recovery of an applied profile; retain the existing macOS behavior expectation.

Co-authored-by: hyuntae park <bluestar218ht@gmail.com>
Keep CONNECT destination policy intact by naming a synthetic non-loopback authority while dialing the local fixture server through the existing test seam.

Co-authored-by: hyuntae park <bluestar218ht@gmail.com>
Only wire the Windows picker runtime and unauthenticated CONNECT relay when picker activation is desired or the selected applied profile requires recovery. Preserve blind egress recovery for that profile and the existing dormant macOS wiring.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win

Translate the split hint as “pane edge.”

gui/src/components/remote-workspace/RemoteWorkspaceChats.tsx, Lines 102–156, renders drop targets at pane edges. 화면 가장자리 tells Korean users to use the screen edge, so the instruction does not match the available drop targets. Use 패널 가장자리 instead.

Proposed translation
- "remote.split.hint": "세션을 화면 가장자리로 끌어다 놓으면 화면이 분할됩니다.",
+ "remote.split.hint": "세션을 패널 가장자리로 끌어다 놓으면 화면이 분할됩니다.",

…Shell paths do not cycle

gentle-shell-path imported ClientPathError and piAgentDir from config-export while
config-export imports gentleShellPaths, a new two-module cycle once the import-cycle
ratchet lands. Both now come from src/clients/client-path.ts; config-export re-exports
them unchanged.

Maintainer integration decision (dev, MAINTAINERS.md maintainer-integration policy): landing this PR at head 645504a as part of batch 2 of the 2026-10-16 PR-reduction round.

Hosted GitHub Actions were unreliable and the maintainer ruled out local test runs for this round, so the evidence is remote and exact-tree:
