design(d215): /v2/activity frames at 1440 and 390 (TASK-757) - #3214
TASK-757 item 8: draws /v2/activity into the d215 artboard at 1440 and 390, light and dark, from the live v2-activity__* structure.
Stacked on #3209 (same insertion point, SURFACES array and test counts). Retarget to main when #3209 merges.
States drawn (3 surfaces, 26 → 32 targets)
activity-queue: compose card, Needs you with the four kinds of ask (approval, decision, mention, handoff), Moved forward grouped by pod with "N more in {pod}".
activity-empty: Get started steps plus "Nothing needs you." and "Nothing yet today."
activity-error: head and controls stay; one line and Retry.
Design calls
Kind is a 16px mark; mark colour says who asks (agent cobalt, person tint). Pod and age ride a mono kicker.
Only the deciding act is a word and ink (Approve, first decision option, Mark handled). Deny, Mark handled on a mention and Open are 32px icon keys with title + aria-label; 44px at 390.
390: compose card moves to the pod; Moved forward sits below the fold.
Measured (node cap/measure_after.js, targets.json regenerated, node --test cap/measure_after.test.js 10/10): helper words queue 92, empty 65; scroll at 390 is 1.09× on the queue frame (list scrolls), 1.0 elsewhere.
Exceptions: none to contrast. Every act at 390 is 44px; at 1440, 32px icon keys per the bar.
Builders lift from docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html#s-activity.
… 1440 and 390) (TASK-757 item 3)
New s-firstrun section: the Scout welcome in a new pod (three starts, one ink) and
the first-run dialog in three states (waiting, connected, hello failed). Frames use
the live v2-first-run__* and v2-chat__start* class names so a lift keeps its pins.
Unicode check and arrow marks become 16px icons; the overlay is a flat scrim.
measure_after learns the four surfaces; targets.json gains eight rows, the existing
rows unchanged.

Walkthrough
The D215 artboard adds responsive First run and Activity mockups. The surface navigation, capture lists, target configuration, and target-count tests are updated to include the expanded set of screens.
Changes: Artboard surface expansion
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Responsive First run and Activity mockups docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html
Adds desktop and mobile First run onboarding states, Activity queue and empty states, and an Activity load-error state. Adds links to both sections in the surface navigation.
Adds target entries for First run and Activity screens at desktop and mobile widths. Updates the capture surface lists and tests to expect 32 targets. Changes the byo-handoff-390innerRatio from 1.52 to 1.31.
This PR adds Activity mockups and measurement targets for the design artboard and does not change shipped product behavior. The mobile Activity mockup clips its lower content and shows a count that doesn't match its rows. The measurement script also accepts Activity surfaces it can't measure in production mode. These are small, localized fixes that should be made before builders rely on the artboard.

UX-GATE: PASS @ b4f60a2 — three Activity frames render at 1440 and 390 in light and dark; copy and class names match the live page
Checked by rendering all 12 frame/theme combinations (chrome-headless-shell, scale 1) and reading each against V2ActivityPage.tsx and en.json.
Structure and copy: head meta "N need you · N moved", Needs you count chip and "oldest waiting first", kicker pod · age, Reply / Approve / Mark handled / Open, "Nothing needs you.", "Nothing yet today.", "Activity could not be loaded. Try again." with Retry. All lifted from the live strings.
Fit: 1440 frames scroll 1.0×; 390 queue 1.09× (a list that scrolls, Moved forward below the fold); empty and error 1.0×.
Identity bar: 16px 2px icons, cobalt only on marks and the count chip, one ink act per row, acts 32px at 1440 and 44px at 390, no shadows, "pod" never "room".
Contrast and 44px exceptions: none.
Not drawn here: the Reply-open textarea and a ruled decision ("✓ {by} ruled"), both described in the state table. Neither changes a frame edge.
Carried, non-blocking: chevron SVGs across the artboard carry a duplicate class attribute, so .chev never applies.

Remove the pending badge from the empty state.
Both empty-state mockups report zero items and say nothing needs the user, but their Needs you navigation badge still shows 3. Reserve a retained badge count for the documented load-error state; show no pending count in the empty state. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Make the 390px queue count match the rows shown.
The 390px queue frame shows "4 need you" in the header and in the Needs you count, but it contains only three queue rows. Add the missing fourth Needs you row, or change the header and count to 3. The note at line 1010 describes only Moved forward as content below the fold, so it does not explain the missing Needs you row.

In the 390px “Needs you + moved” frame, align the displayed queue count with the

Put the oldest waiting ask first.
The queue says “oldest waiting first,” but its rows run from 4m to 1h. The longest-waiting handoff appears last. Reverse the displayed order or correct the stated ordering rule so the mockup does not specify the opposite priority. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

In the “Needs you” queue, the rows are ordered from shortest to longest wait
despite the “oldest waiting first” hint. Update the queue row order in the
mockup so the longest-waiting handoff appears first and the 4-minute approval

Keep PROD_SURFACES aligned with the production runner.
PROD_SURFACES now accepts activity-queue, activity-empty, and activity-error, but prod() has no matching entries in its SURF list. Therefore, prod --only activity-queue accepts the argument, measures zero surfaces, and exits with no surface was measured. Add production capture definitions or exclude activity-* from PROD_SURFACES. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
As per path instructions, this is a broken correctness contract.

Review comment at @docs/design/artboards/d215/cap/measure_after.js at line 21:
Keep PROD_SURFACES consistent with the SURF entries used by prod(): add
production capture definitions for activity-queue, activity-empty, and
activity-error, or remove those unsupported surfaces from the production
allowlist. Ensure each accepted --only value corresponds to a surface prod()
actually measures.
Add a regression test for the production-surface contract.
The updated count assertion verifies only that EXPECTED has 32 entries. It does not verify that every name accepted by PROD_SURFACES has a matching runtime SURF entry. Add a focused test for the new activity-* names that verifies either production measurement support or explicit rejection. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
As per path instructions, changed behavior requires a test that exercises the behavior.

Make the mobile Activity content scrollable.
The mobile queue measures 1.09× its available height, but its .mbody2 parent has overflow: hidden. Content below the viewport is therefore clipped rather than reachable. Give the mobile Activity content a vertical scroller; increasing the mockup’s content alone will not fix access to its lower actions. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
