docs(d215): approved frames for Activity, Artifacts, the task record and the sign-in handoff - #3345
Approved 11-03. Sam saw each page live beside proposed and answered "Build as drawn" for all four: Activity, Artifacts, the task record and the sign-in handoff. This PR now carries all four sets of frames and relabels them in the README's provenance table. Each page gets its own build PR, and that PR makes the approved frame the scored one.
Added in this push (folded in from the task-record and handoff frames commit, never pushed separately):
task-record: the task record page, loaded and not available, at 1440 and 390.
handoff: the OAuth and Discord return pages (working, done, error) on the auth card, at 1440 and 390.
Every one of these frames carries data-state, so the scorer skips them and targets.json does not move.
Activity and Artifacts were added to the d215 artboard on 11-02 by tracing the live pages (#3316, #3318). The pages were then scored against those frames, so a pass only showed that each page matched itself, not the style picked on 10-31. This PR redraws both pages in the picked language for a decision. Sam has since approved it (above). It also records where every frame came from.
What's drawn (docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html, new #s-activity-signal and #s-artifacts-signal blocks under the current ones):
Busy and day zero, at 1440 and 390, light and dark.
Everything is built from the seven picked surfaces' blocks:
the Connectors head: title, mono count, one segment, one select;
mono section labels over one hairline-split list (Settings, Memory);
Memory's hover key cluster;
Journal's mono time column.
Activity:
The composer card becomes a one-line row that opens on focus.
The four equal "Needs you" cards become one list. The decision is the only open row, and its choices are keys inside it.
The two pill rows in the head become one segment and one select.
The (i) marks go.
"Moved forward" loses its table header.
The composer focus uses var(--v2-focus-ring).
The ruled line drops its leading ✓.
Artifacts:
The six-column table becomes one group per pod. Each row has a type badge, the name, Fern · 12m and a trailing size; Kind and When survive inside the row.
The two pill groups become one segment and one select.
Day zero is one quiet row with one key.
The frames carry data-state="signal", so the scorer skips them, and targets.json is unchanged (cmp). The traced frames stay as the record of the live page. Each block's notes map every live function to its new place.
Where each frame came from (README): four groups, and prod scores are reported per group from now on:
No actionable comments were generated in the recent review.
Walkthrough
The D215 README now documents frame sources, review status, and scorer treatment. The artboard page adds Signal-style Activity and Artifacts mockups, Task record examples, and sign-in handoff states, with desktop and mobile examples.
The README groups frames by source and review status. It describes scorer treatment for state-only and Signal frames, notes planned retirement of replaced frames, and removes prior operational notes.
Signal Activity and Artifacts comparisons docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html
The page adds Signal styles, icons, and navigation links. Activity and Artifacts comparisons show busy and day-zero examples at desktop and mobile sizes.
Task record and sign-in handoff comparisons docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html
Task record examples show loaded and unavailable states. Sign-in handoff examples show working, completed, and error states.
Team-Commonly/commonly#3184: Changes the D215 scorer to skip frames with a data-state attribute, which the README says the new frames use.
Team-Commonly/commonly#3214: Adds initial Activity artboard frames and measurement entries for the same surface.
Team-Commonly/commonly#3346: Changes D215 scorer and README rules for scored and skipped frames, which relate to the added frame states.
Merge Risk: Low · up to aee07
Keyboard focus is not visible on the new Signal selectors. The change is otherwise mergeable with a follow-up to restore the indicator.

Restore a visible focus indicator on Signal selects.
When a keyboard user focuses a new .sg button.sel, all: unset overrides the earlier :focus-visible outline. This selector provides no replacement focus style, so the focused pod selector is not visible as focused. Add a .sg button.sel:focus-visible outline or ring. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Based on learnings, “Flag it when no visible focus indicator remains.”

Review comment at @docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html at line 1033:
Add a visible keyboard focus indicator with a `.sg button.sel:focus-visible`
rule, since `all: unset` removes the inherited outline for `.sg button.sel`. Use
an outline or ring that clearly distinguishes the focused select.

Correct the “order unchanged” claim before using this frame as a build reference.
The drawn Northwind group puts a 2d file before the Field notes group’s 3h file. The preceding live frame orders those files 3h, then 2d. Grouping therefore changes the visible global recency order, although this note says order is unchanged and the footer still says “newest first.” Specify the new grouped order and its paging behavior, or preserve global recency order. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
As per path instructions for docs/**, “flag a claim that names a file, function, field or tool that does not exist or behaves differently”; the general documentation instruction also requires identifying statements made false by the change.

Review comment at @docs/design/artboards/d215/index.html at line 1739:
Update the “Order and paging are unchanged” note and the “newest first” footer
in this frame to match its displayed grouping: clarify that newest-first
ordering applies within each pod and explain how pods and paging are ordered.
Alternatively, preserve global recency order in the displayed groups and paging
so the existing claims remain accurate.

The Activity and Artifacts frames trace the live pages. They do not follow
the "Signal, Said Less" pick. A new block under each one draws the page in
the picked language, using only the seven picked surfaces' blocks: the
Connectors head, mono section labels over one hairline group, Memory's
hover keys and the Journal mono column. Busy and day zero are drawn at 1440
and 390, light and dark, with the current frames' content and counts. The
frames carry data-state="signal", so the scorer skips them and
targets.json is unchanged. The current frames stay as they were.

…me never reads as the picked style
The README now sorts every frame into four groups:
- from the 10-31 pick;
- drawn after it;
- traced from the live page (Activity and Artifacts);
- the new redraw.
Prod scores are reported per group from now on.

changed the title
docs(d215): Activity and Artifacts redrawn in the picked style, and every frame labelled by where it came from
docs(d215): approved frames for Activity, Artifacts, the task record and the sign-in handoff
Nov 4, 2026
The review found four stale or loose lines:
- The redraw blocks still said they were "for Sam to choose". They now say "approved 11-03, not scored yet".
- The traced Activity and Artifacts frames were described as scored. The scorer skips them (SKIPPED in cap/measure_after.js), and the table now says so.
- Only the first two groups have scored frames.
- The after-pick group now lists run-trace-after and chat-trace by name. The two before frames are drawings of the old pages and are never a target.

Review round (D218) at aee078d. This is a docs-only artboard PR. The full review ran at 947ce5c. The one commit since then fixes that review's wording points and changes no drawing.
Checks
Merge.index.html has no conflict markers.
No new duplicate ids. fr-title ×6 already exists on main.
The two new CSS blocks don't overlap: the redraw is scoped to .sg/sg-, and the task record and handoff use v2-task-record__* and .authcard .hand. Neither block uses the other's classes.
The TOC has 24 links, each used once, and every target exists.
Rendering.frames.cjs writes 298 PNGs. I sampled task-record, handoff, both signal blocks, chat and board in light and dark. All render with their theme.
Provenance table. Its four groups don't overlap, and every surface falls in exactly one. The approved row covers all four pages. The traced Activity and Artifacts frames are marked as being retired. The table now says they're skipped by the scorer (SKIPPED in cap/measure_after.js), which is accurate.
Scorer.node --test cap/measure_after.test.js passes 16/16. measure_after.js gives identical output on branch and main, and targets.json is unchanged.
Leaks. No new ledger ids, infra identifiers or private repo names. All commits are by Lily.
Defects: none.
Non-blocking, carried to the task-record build PR: at 390, the task-record frame's footer line (Run srv-task-…) sits under the tab bar. The built page has to clear the bar whatever the frame shows.
…d an unknown page (Team-Commonly#3422)
* docs(d215): empty and error states for the pod list, board, memory and an unknown page
Carried from Team-Commonly#3220, which was stacked on frame PRs that Team-Commonly#3345 replaced.
Empty pod list, empty board, the board's load error, an agent with no
memory, and a page not found that replaces live's silent redirect to /v2,
at 1440 and 390. Agent not found is already drawn under the agent profile,
so its frames are dropped here. Every frame carries data-state, so the
scorer skips them and targets.json does not move. The phone rows get three
280 px columns; the shared row grid stretched a third frame to the notes
column.

* docs(d215): the empty board keeps its Done fold, and the empty pod list marks what is new
From the gate: live always renders the Done fold, so the empty board frame
draws it at 0. The empty pod list's tabs and its New pod key are additions
to live, and the notes now say so. The unused .pub rules left from the
dropped agent-not-found frames are removed.
