docs(byo): TASK-012 claim table + OpenCode version fix - #2783
TASK-012 truth audit for the Bring your own agent pages. Rebased onto main (8ac7e8d), where the claim-table skeleton from #2781 is merged. The file now carries only the BYO rows, in the "Bring your own agent" section.
What changed
docs/audits/claim-table.md: one verdict per BYO claim, each with a file:line on main as evidence. No row is WALKED yet. The logged-in walks are GTM's.
Claims the audit could not support, changed in this PR:
Codex on Linux: FALSE. Lily (10-26 06:12Z): codex 0.164 fails bootstrap on Linux. Copy now says "macOS; Linux not yet tested" in codex.mdx (lines 3, 6, 11), index.mdx (Codex card), en.json (1548, 1615), zh-CN.json (1608, 1674), guides.json (138, 803, 5734), and docs-site/agents/on-my-computer.mdx (29). The footnote test is updated to match.
In-app Linux offer narrowed to macOS.listenerRunsOn (V2AgentBYO.tsx:104) now returns os === 'mac', so the listener and compact card no longer appear for Codex on Linux. This is a behaviour change, made on Lily's ruling "macOS; Linux not yet tested" and Sable's HOLD (90335). Revert it if Lily prefers "offered, not tested". Tests updated: V2AgentBYOListenSnippet.test.tsx (Linux + Codex now shows the unavailable copy), V2AgentBYOFromCard.test.tsx (Codex on Linux gets the full page).
unavailableCodex copy fixed. It hardcoded "from Windows", which would have read wrong on Linux. It now uses {{os}} in en.json and zh-CN.json.
Hermes OPENROUTER_BASE_URL: CUT. Nothing in cli/ or packages/seats/src/ reads it.
DeepSeek Harness "Commonly CLI 0.1.122": CUT. No code pins a CLI version for dsh.
OpenCode "in an invite-only pod" (card): CUT.opencode.js runs public seats, so nothing enforces invite-only. The card now says "Attach from the CLI."
OpenCode "1.19.3": STALE.opencode.js:68 smoke-tests 1.18.35 and 1.19.0 (first commit, 6e844c4).
Not in this PR
Logged-in walks (GTM): none of these are verified here, and no row is WALKED.
work-in-your-repo.mdx private-listener recipe (lines 55–90): GTM walks it or cuts it before Mon 08:00 PT, per Lily's ruling. The rest of that page has code-level verdicts in the table.
docs/cli/opencode.md and docs/cli/dsh.md (the linked guides): separate pages, not audited here.
llms.txt Linux line: TASK-016, waiting on SWE's fix.
Full frontend run: 4 suites fail (v2/cards/* and V2MessageRow.test.tsx) with "Cannot find module @openuidev/*". The local worktree links node_modules from the shared checkout, which lacks those packages. They are not touched by this diff. CI will show the real result.
Tier 1: the in-app copy changes (en.json, zh-CN.json, guides.json, V2AgentBYOFootnote.test.tsx) need a wording review from GTM and a press from Lily.
It looks like this branch is under active development. To avoid overwhelming you with review comments due to an influx of new commits, CodeRabbit has automatically paused this review. You can configure this behavior by changing the reviews.auto_review.auto_pause_after_reviewed_commits setting.
Codex listener eligibility and guidance now identify macOS as supported and Linux as untested. The BYO-agent guides also revise OpenCode, DeepSeek Harness, and Hermes claims. The audit table adds evidence and verdicts for agent setup and related claims.

Summary
Listener eligibility and Scout guidance frontend/src/v2/components/V2AgentBYO.tsx, backend/config/native-agents/scout.ts, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/*, backend/__tests__/unit/config/nativeAgents.scoutKnowledge.test.js
Listener availability now applies to macOS only. Scout connect-card eligibility and teammate guidance list Codex on macOS. Tests reflect the revised eligibility and unavailable-listener behavior.
Codex setup guidance says Linux is untested and identifies macOS as the listener platform. Localized messages and the OpenCode card also reflect the revised guidance.
Agent guide claims and tested versions docs-site/bring-your-own/opencode.mdx, docs-site/bring-your-own/deepseek-harness.mdx, docs-site/bring-your-own/hermes.mdx
The OpenCode guide lists tested versions 1.18.35 and 1.19.0. The DeepSeek Harness page removes the Commonly CLI version requirement. The Hermes page requires OPENROUTER_API_KEY.
BYO entry and workflow claims docs/audits/claim-table.md
The audit adds evidence and verdicts for BYO entry points, agent connections, listener commands, workspace and grant behavior, and agent-specific claims.
Resolve the unsupported audit verdicts and align the Codex fallback guidance across platforms before merging.

Explanation
The title "docs(byo): TASK-012 claim table + OpenCode version fix" is a short, specific conventional-commit style title. It names the main change, the BYO claim audit recorded in docs/audits/claim-table.md, and the OpenCode version correction (1.19.3 to tested versions 1.18.35 and 1.19.0). It does not cover the Codex Linux copy changes, the Hermes and DSH cuts, or the in-app Codex macOS narrowing, but the title does not need to list every detail.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description is specific and related to the changeset. It states the purpose (TASK-012 truth audit for Bring your own agent pages), lists each changed file and the reason for each change, and names the claims marked FALSE, STALE, or CUT. It also covers the in-app behaviour change to listenerRunsOn, the tests updated, verification results, and what is out of scope. The raw summary matches these points.

Do not classify the dated OpenCode walk as stale.
docs/cli/opencode.md records a 2026-10-19 verification with OpenCode 1.19.3. It separately says that 1.18.35 and 1.19.0 are smoke-tested adapter versions and that a trusted 1.19.3 seat continues. The newer smoke-test list does not invalidate the dated walk. Describe the two kinds of evidence separately instead of directing a follow-up PR to replace the verified version. Use mode-specific Claude evidence.
claude.js:759 rejects workspace trust with sandbox.mode=bwrap; it does not test the platform. claude.js:770 rejects non-macOS only for public native sandbox modes. The public bwrap path remains available at :821-848. These citations do not establish that the web setup or Claude listener is Mac-only.

Point the Hermes citations to packages/seats/src/adapters/hermes.js.
The cli/src/lib/adapters/hermes.js file is an 18-line wrapper. It re-exports TESTED_HERMES_VERSION at line 8, but line 12 is a comment. Add implementation evidence for the MCP listener claims.
These TRUE rows rely on sibling documentation and an uncited statement about @commonlyai/mcp. The table's own rule requires a file:line that establishes the behavior. Cite the MCP implementation showing that it does not handle listener or @mention traffic, or keep these rows open.
As per path instructions, documentation agreement does not establish code behavior.

Do not mark the macOS flow TRUE from non-macOS rejection alone.
claude.js:759 and :770 show refusal on non-macOS. They do not prove the web setup, listener execution, or Connect-page selection on macOS. Cite the positive implementation path, or leave index:14, claude-code:6, and claude-code:11 open.

Do not mark an unverified claim as FALSE.
The evidence reports a bootstrap failure for Codex 0.164 and only a partial result for 0.144. It does not establish that the unqualified Linux claim is false across versions. Use FALSE only with version-specific evidence that proves the stated claim is wrong; otherwise use a verdict defined for an unverified or unresolved claim.
The app still offers Linux for Codex through listenerRunsOn. Confirm whether that option is intentionally experimental while the documentation says Linux is untested.

Update the verdict in the Codex Linux claim row: the cited version-specific
bootstrap and partial-call evidence does not prove the unqualified claim false,
so use the established verdict for unverified or unresolved claims unless
evidence disproves it across the stated scope. Check the `listenerRunsOn` Linux
option and clarify whether it is intentionally experimental; keep its behavior
and the documentation’s “Linux not yet tested” status consistent.

Gate HOLD at 105712f (Tier 1, in-app and public Codex copy). The Scout prompt, the locale strings and the footnote test are right. Three Codex-on-Linux claims are still live in the scope you named.
frontend/src/content/guides.json:803 says "Codex (Mac or Linux, including WSL) answers on your machine." Same file as the fixed line at :138.
frontend/src/content/guides.json:5734 says "The listener runs Claude Code (Mac only) or Codex (Mac or Linux, including WSL)."
docs-site/agents/on-my-computer.mdx:29 says "Codex runs on Mac and Linux, including WSL." This is a docs-site Codex line, and the PR's own claim table marks the Linux claim FALSE.
Fix: change all three to Mac-only with "Linux not tested yet", matching :138.
Decision for the author or Lily: frontend/src/v2/components/V2AgentBYO.tsx:104 still offers the Codex listener on Linux, and its comment says the page "only offers what it has seen work." The new copy says Linux is not tested. Either narrow the gate to Mac, or keep the gate and say in the copy that Linux is offered but not tested. The claim-table row calls the Linux claim FALSE while the button still exists, so the row and the code disagree.
Ran at 105712f in a scratch worktree: V2AgentBYOFootnote.test.tsx, src/i18n and src/content give 35 tests passing across 4 suites; nativeAgents.scoutKnowledge.test.js gives 27 passing. Re-gate after the fix.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Re-gate PASS at 7fe0deb (Tier 1, in-app and public Codex copy). This closes the HOLD at 105712f.
Fixed: guides.json:803 and :5734 and on-my-computer.mdx:29 now read Mac only, "Linux is not tested yet". Nothing in the Codex copy still says Mac or Linux.
Behaviour change, checked: listenerRunsOn is now os === 'mac'. Its only call site (V2AgentBYO.tsx:201) is updated. The unavailable copy at :1505 still passes os, and en.json:1615 and zh-CN.json:1674 now take {{os}}, so Linux gets the unavailable text, not a literal placeholder.
Ran at 7fe0deb in a scratch worktree: V2AgentBYOFootnote, V2AgentBYOFromCard, V2AgentBYOListenSnippet and src/i18n give 65 tests across 6 suites, all passing. I did not run a full tsc; the signature change has one call site, which I read.
Non-blocking: Lily may reverse the Linux gate to "offered, not tested" as the author noted. That is a copy and code decision, not a gate blocker.
The listener supports only macOS, so Linux also reaches this unavailable-Codex path. The final sentence still says “To answer @mentions from Windows,” which is incorrect for Linux users. Use {{os}} or separate OS-specific messages. Apply the same fix to frontend/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN.json:1608.

Distinguish failed-version evidence from unverified Linux support.
The evidence records that Codex 0.164 failed bootstrap and 0.144 reached the model call, but neither result verifies the listener end to end. Update both Codex Linux rows and related copy to say “Linux support was not verified end to end.” Use CUT if this is incomplete evidence; retain FALSE only if the bootstrap failure is accepted as proof that Linux support is false.

TASK-012 truth audit. docs/audits/claim-table.md records one verdict per
BYO claim (page | claim | verdict | evidence | date). No row is WALKED yet:
the walk is a non-author's to do on commonly.me.
Fixes the one STALE claim: the OpenCode guide named 1.19.3, but
opencode.js:68 smoke-tests 1.18.35 and 1.19.0 only.
Open CONFLICT rows, not decided here: the Codex platform (index, codex,
en.json:1548/1615, V2AgentBYO.tsx:104 allows Linux + Codex).

TASK-012 truth audit. Adds the BYO rows to the "Bring your own agent"
section of docs/audits/claim-table.md: one verdict per claim, with a
file:line on main as evidence.
Claims the audit could not support, changed here:
- Codex on Linux: FALSE. Lily (10-26 06:12Z): codex 0.164 fails
bootstrap on Linux. Copy now says "macOS; Linux not yet tested"
(codex.mdx, index.mdx, en.json, zh-CN.json, guides.json, and the
footnote test). The in-app listener offer is unchanged.
- OPENROUTER_BASE_URL for Hermes: CUT. Nothing in cli/ or
packages/seats/src reads it.
- Commonly CLI 0.1.122 pin for DeepSeek Harness: CUT. No code pins it.
- OpenCode "invite-only pod" card: CUT. opencode.js runs public seats.
- OpenCode 1.19.3: STALE. The adapter smoke-tests 1.18.35 and 1.19.0.
Not in this commit: the logged-in walks, and the private-listener recipe
in work-in-your-repo.mdx (lines 55-90). GTM walks those or cuts them
before Mon 08:00 PT.

The Scout prompt offered a connect card for Codex on macOS, Linux or WSL.
That is the same claim the BYO audit marked FALSE: Lily (10-26 06:12Z) saw
codex 0.164 fail bootstrap on Linux. The card now goes out for Codex on a
Mac only, and Linux and WSL are named as "not yet tested" with no card.
en.json unavailableCodex matches, and the scout knowledge test pins it.

Lily (10-26): "macOS; Linux not yet tested" wherever Codex's platform is
stated. Sable's HOLD (90335) named three remaining Linux claims.
- guides.json:803, :5734 and on-my-computer.mdx:29 now say Mac only,
"Linux is not tested yet", matching guides.json:138.
- listenerRunsOn narrows to os === 'mac', so the listener and compact
card no longer appear for Codex on Linux.
- unavailableCodex hardcoded "from Windows"; it now takes {{os}} in en and
zh-CN, so Linux does not read as Windows.
- Tests follow the gate; the claim table records the narrowed offer.

Code gate (sable) for #2783 at 31fa87a, scope: backend/config/native-agents/scout.ts and frontend/src/v2/components/V2AgentBYO.tsx.
listenerRunsOn now takes only os and returns os === 'mac'. The adapter argument is gone. listenAdapter is still used at its other call sites, so nothing is left dangling.
Linux with Codex no longer gets a listener. The page falls through to unavailableCodex with os interpolated at V2AgentBYO.tsx:1506, and that call site passes os.
The scout prompt pairs match the tests in nativeAgents.scoutKnowledge.test.js and the BYO test changes. Claude Code is still Mac-only, and Codex is Mac-only. Other OSes get text and no card.
Checks at this head are all green, including Backend tests (1/3 to 3/3), Frontend tests, Service Tests (1/2 and 2/2), CLI/MCP and hosted runtime tests, Validate docs, and coderabbit-threads. The merge state is CLEAN.
Limit: I did not run the suites locally. The verdict relies on the CI results at this head and on reading the diff.
Codex page: main's title "Connect Codex to a pod" is kept, and so is "Linux not yet tested" (codex.mdx:7, :12).
The Codex-on-Linux FALSE rows give real evidence, Lily's 10-26 measurement: 0.164 fails bootstrap and 0.144 is not end to end. The narrowed listenerRunsOn (V2AgentBYO.tsx:104) matches the copy.
OpenCode: the 1.18.35/1.19.0 versions match TESTED_OPENCODE_VERSIONS (opencode.js:68).
dsh: the 0.2.1-rc.2 pin is TRUE. The removed CLI 0.1.122 pin is a CUT row.
Every removed sentence has a CUT or FALSE row.
The changes agree with #2885's README/intro wording: the intro names only Claude Code's Mac condition, and nothing here contradicts it. The Scout prompt follows the same narrowing.
No CodeRabbit threads are open.
Defects (HOLD)
New FALSE in-app copy for Linux.cliRouteCodexUnavailable is chosen whenever the Codex listener is unavailable (V2AgentBYO.tsx:1349-1351). With listenerRunsOn now mac-only, that includes a Linux setup. The string still ends "To answer @mentions from Windows, choose 'Run it here'" in both en.json:1545 and zh-CN.json:1605, so a Linux user is told about Windows. unavailableCodex was correctly switched to {{os}}. This footnote needs the same treatment, or OS-neutral wording, plus the matching claim row.
Claim-table rows are stale after the rebase onto main.#2793 unlisted Hermes, so bring-your-own/hermes.mdx does not exist at this head, and index.mdx has no Hermes card.
The row citing "index.mdx:23, hermes.mdx:6" (Hermes card) now points at the DeepSeek card.
The four other hermes.mdx rows (:6 version, :6 key, :13-14, :17) describe a page that isn't there, and the OPENROUTER_BASE_URL CUT says "Removed from the page" about a page this PR does not touch.
The DeepSeek row cites index.mdx:26, but the card is :23.
The MCP row cites index.mdx:33, but the line is :30.
Drop the Hermes rows, or mark them as unlisted with a pointer to #2793, and re-pin the index line numbers.
Non-blocking
The index Codex card reads "Connect on a Mac through the web setup. macOS; Linux not yet tested." That says Mac twice.
The en cliRouteCodexUnavailable copy says "a Mac computer".
The Codex FALSE row lists codex.mdx:3 as fixed, but nothing changed at :3/:4. The description already said Mac.

Connector-lane gate at 31fa87a (merge-base e00b5c8). I checked the agentByo strings, V2AgentBYO.tsx and the three V2AgentBYO tests. I did not check the docs-site version claims (OpenCode 1.18.35/1.19.0, dsh rc).
The en strings are true against the component. listenerRunsOn (:104) is now os === 'mac' for both tools, and it decides listenerAvailable (:201). The Codex footnote (:1349-1351) and listen.unavailableCodex (:1505) are chosen only when it is false, which now means Linux or Windows. {{os}} is passed at :1505-1506, so the new placeholder renders "Linux" or "Windows". The macOS condition for Claude Code holds: unavailableClaude and cliRouteClaudeUnavailable are unchanged, and Claude's listener still shows on Mac only. compactByo is gated on listenerAvailable (:272), which matches the FromCard test's new Linux full-page arm. "Run it here" matches agentByo.mode.hosted. Frontend tests pass at this head.
zh second pass: both changed strings follow the rules. 智能体 and @提及 are used, 你 throughout and no 您. Half-width spaces are on both sides of Mac, Windows and {{os}}; "(Linux 尚未测试)" puts no space against the full-width bracket and one before 尚. Turning en's "Linux is not tested yet." into a parenthetical reads naturally, with no 翻译腔. 「在这里运行」 and “在这里运行” match zh agentByo.mode.hosted.
Key sets: agentByo has 142 keys in en and 142 in zh, with none on one side only. In the whole file en has 9 keys zh lacks, all _one plural forms. Base e00b5c8 has the same 9, which is right for zh (no singular form).
Non-blocking:
cliRouteCodexUnavailable used to appear only on Windows. It now also appears on Linux, where its last sentence still speaks to Windows ("To answer @mentions from Windows, choose …"). It's true but addressed to the wrong OS for that reader. Passing {{os}}, the way unavailableCodex now does, would fix it.
With {{os}} = Linux, unavailableCodex says the Codex CLI "can't answer @mentions from Linux". That claims an inability nobody measured, while this PR's own basis is "not tested". The next sentence corrects it. "isn't offered on {{os}} yet" would match the evidence exactly.

Code gate on #2783 at 31fa87a (TASK-012, G6). Re-gate after the rebase onto main e00b5c8. Main has not moved since.
1. Scout knowledge makes no reply claim without the macOS condition. I read every Linux, WSL and Windows line in backend/config/native-agents/scout.ts at head. The @mention claim is Claude Code on a Mac; Codex on a Mac (Linux and WSL not yet tested). The card scope is Codex on macOS, and Linux, WSL and Windows get text only. The other Linux mentions are the MCP-from-session line and a fact about the sandbox, and neither claims an @mention reply. The docs copy in docs-site/ and en.json/zh-CN.json follows the same rule.
2. The three V2AgentBYO tests fail when their change is reverted. I ran the files in a scratch worktree at head, under Node 22. All 118 tests across the BYO files pass. Then I reverted each change in turn:
V2AgentBYO.tsx to main (listenerRunsOn): V2AgentBYOListenSnippet (Linux Codex, "no listener command") and V2AgentBYOFromCard (Linux Codex compact card) both fail, 2 of 33.
en.json to main (copy only): V2AgentBYOFootnote and V2AgentBYOListenSnippet fail. V2AgentBYOFootnote asserts the new footnote copy, and the component change has no effect on it, so it does not fail on the component revert.
So each of the three has a reverting case. The footnote test guards the copy and not the component.
3. The rebase dropped nothing. main has not moved since e00b5c8, so the PR diff against main is the same 15 files and 74/−37 lines as the base diff. The only removed code lines in V2AgentBYO.tsx are the listenerRunsOn change and its one call site. browserOs() and the OS detection at lines 84–96 are untouched, and the #2870 BYO start path is not in the diff. The helper has one caller, and its signature change is applied there.
4. Folio's two nativeAgents.scoutKnowledge failures. They do not reproduce at head. Under Node 22, __tests__/unit/config/nativeAgents passes 45 of 45, including scoutKnowledge. CI shows Backend tests (1/3), (2/3) and (3/3) as pass, along with Frontend tests and E2E Tests. Folio's failures are probably a Node 26 artifact, since backend/TESTING.md says the backend needs Node 22. I did not run them on Node 26.
Defects. None blocking. One nit: the new comment on listenerRunsOn attributes the decision to a person by name ("Lily, 10-26"). Other comments in this file cite the issue or run number instead. Changing it is optional.
HOLD relay: @folio, Lumen has GATE: HOLD on #2783 at 31fa87a (review 5671587499), and no new commit has landed since. Read the review on the PR, fix what it names, push, then re-ask Lumen on the PR with the exact head.
Folio pushed the fixes for the Lumen HOLD (review 5671587499) at a5ff110. The branch carries four new commits on top of 31fa87a:
Codex footnote (defect 1):cliRouteCodexUnavailable now takes {{os}} in en and zh, the same way unavailableClaude does, so a Linux visitor is no longer told about Windows. The component passes the chosen OS.
Claim table (defect 2): the Hermes rows are dropped, and the index.mdx, codex.mdx, claude-code.mdx, deepseek-harness.mdx and opencode.mdx pins are re-checked against the rebased files.
Non-blocking: the index Codex card now says Mac once: "Connect on a Mac through the web setup. Linux not yet tested."
In en.json:1545 and zh-CN.json:1605, cliRouteCodexUnavailable now says "from {{os}}". V2AgentBYO.tsx passes os from SETUP_OS_OPTIONS, the same way unavailableCodex does. The footnote renders only when listenerRunsOn (mac-only, :104) is false, so it never claims Mac. Dropping its Linux clause loses no information, because codex.mdx:7 and :12 and unavailableCodex still carry it.
The Hermes rows are gone, and the index rows are re-pinned to live lines: :14, :17, :23 (DeepSeek) and :30 (MCP). The page-side pins for claude-code.mdx, codex.mdx, opencode.mdx and deepseek-harness.mdx all match the lines at this head. The index Codex card no longer says Mac twice.
Still HOLD: stale pins remain in the claim table. The delta re-pinned the page column but not the evidence column. The rows outside the delta were also never re-pinned after main's #2878 shifted work-in-your-repo.mdx by one line. At this head:
Evidence pins in en.json: :1623 → :1620 (byo), :1469 → :1466 (openConnect), :1555 → :1552 (keyOnce), :1614 → :1611 (unavailableClaude). That last one is also the page key of the row "en.json:1614".
The Codex FALSE rows still list en.json :1548/:1615, zh-CN.json :1608/:1674 and guides.json :803/:5734. Those are now en :1545/:1612, zh :1605/:1671 and guides :795/:5726. They also still say "codex.mdx:3, :6, :11", which are pre-fix lines.
V2AgentBYO.tsx :958 → :957 (the MCP block) and :981 → :980 (the listener template). :958 and :981 are now : '';.
work-in-your-repo.mdx: every row is off by one, with :24, :26, :27, :28, :30, :31, :34, :41-47, :51, :53 → :25, :27, :28, :29, :31, :32, :35, :42-44, :52, :54.
The claims themselves are still TRUE. Only the line numbers are wrong. Once they're re-pinned this is a PASS, as long as nothing else moves.
CI at this head has two runs still in progress (18 pass).
work-in-your-repo.mdx: +1 on every row, plus :21 for the MCP row. The --allow rows are :42-44. :28 and :29 were checked by hand, since the first pass chained two shifts.
Codex FALSE row: the pre-fix lines are named as history, and the rest point at the new lines.

Re-gate at cac6eaf, against my HOLD 5671923440. CI is green: 20 pass, 4 skipped.
The delta is the claim table only, and it re-pins every line listed in my HOLD. I checked each pin against this head:
en.json:byo :1620, openConnect :1466, keyOnce :1552, unavailableClaude :1611 (the row key now reads en.json:1611), cliRouteCodexUnavailable :1545 and unavailableCodex :1612.
zh-CN.json: :1605 and :1671.
guides.json: :138, :795 and :5726. Each carries "Codex on a Mac; Linux is not tested yet" or "Codex (Mac only; Linux is not tested yet)".
V2AgentBYO.tsx: :957 is the claude mcp add block and :980 is the listener template with --adapter ${listenAdapter}. :46, :95 and :104 are unchanged and still correct.
work-in-your-repo.mdx: :21, :25, :27, :28, :29, :31, :32, :35, :42-44, :52 and :54 each land on the sentence their row quotes.
codex.mdx: the FALSE row now says ":7 and :12 (were :3, :6, :11)".
on-my-computer.mdx:29 reads "Codex runs on a Mac; Linux is not tested yet."
None of the old line numbers remain in the BYO section.
The defects from my two earlier HOLDs (the Codex footnote OS and the Hermes rows) stay fixed. Rows 2 through the end of the BYO section still match their pages.
Non-blocking: the Linux-half FALSE row says the copy changed to "Linux is not tested yet". That's true of en.json:1612, zh-CN :1671 and guides.json, but en.json:1545 and zh-CN :1605 are now OS-neutral rather than carrying the phrase. That is accurate behaviour, so the row's wording just over-generalises slightly.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Re-stamp at cac6eaf. My last PASS was at 31fa87a. The ask named a5ff110, but the head moved to cac6eaf while CI ran. That commit changes only docs/audits/claim-table.md: the rest of the tree is identical to a5ff110, and the merge-base is still e00b5c8.
cliRouteCodexUnavailable now says "from {{os}}". V2AgentBYO.tsx:1354 passes os from setupOs, the same way unavailableCodex does. The footnote is chosen only when listenerRunsOn(setupOs) is false, so {{os}} always renders "Linux" or "Windows", never the macOS fallback. The Windows footnote test (V2AgentBYOFootnote:102, "from Windows") witnesses the new param: without it, i18next would leave {{os}} in the text. Frontend tests pass at this head.
Removing "Linux is not tested yet" from the footnote drops no needed condition. A Linux visitor still reads that the listener runs on a Mac and that from Linux they should choose “Run it here”, which is exactly what the page offers. The next step (listen.unavailableCodex) still gives the reason, "Linux is not tested yet", and codex.mdx:7/:12 and index.mdx:17 keep it.
zh: "要从 {{os}} 回复 @提及" has half-width spaces on both sides of {{os}} and before @提及. The rest follows the rules (@提及, 你), with no 翻译腔. The parenthetical is dropped to match en. The placeholders match ({{byo}}, {{hosted}}, {{os}} on both sides), and agentByo still has 142 keys in each with none on one side only.
The hermes rows were removed because docs-site has no hermes.mdx on main or at this head. Spot-checked re-pins that match: tsx:46, :95, :104, :957, :964, :980; en:1466, :1545, :1552, :1611, :1612, :1620; zh:1605; codex.mdx:7, :12; deepseek-harness.mdx:7; index.mdx:14, :17, :23, :30.
CI: 21 pass, 4 skipping, coderabbit-threads green, and no new CodeRabbit thread at this head.
Non-blocking: the README row "Bring your own → Use my own agent → Get my connect command (L68)" still cites en.json:1469 for "Get my connect command". At this head :1469 is "failed": "Couldn't record the decision. Try again.", and the string sits at :1466, which the claude-code/codex row cites correctly. It's one stale pin, in docs only.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Re-gate on #2783 at a5ff110 (TASK-012), the fix for lumen's HOLD. The delta from 31fa87a is five files. CI is green at this head: 22 pass, 5 skipping, none failing.
1. The os param is the same label unavailableClaude uses. The os argument at V2AgentBYO.tsx:1354 (footnote) and :1507 (listen notice) is t(SETUP_OS_OPTIONS.find(o => o.os === setupOs)?.labelKey). That is the label source unavailableClaude already uses, and it resolves to agentByo.listen.osLinux or osWindows. The en and zh values are "Linux"/"Windows" and "Linux"/"Windows". The footnote branch only renders when the listener is unavailable, so os is never Mac there.
2. Tests that assert it. Both new interpolation sites have an assertion, but on different OS values:
Windows footnote: V2AgentBYOFootnote.test.tsx:102 asserts "To answer @mentions from Windows".
Linux listen notice: V2AgentBYOListenSnippet.test.tsx:262 and :267 assert "from Linux yet", and the "Linux is not tested yet." clause.
Gap: no test renders the footnote on Linux, so the Linux footnote wording is unasserted. The wiring is the same expression as the tested one, so this is a coverage nit, not a correctness gap.
3. Local run at head, Node 22. All 118 V2AgentBYO* frontend tests pass. The i18n and landing-hero tests pass, 39 of 39.
4. Other delta lines. The en "Linux is not tested yet" clause is removed from the footnote only. unavailableCodex still carries it, and codex.mdx keeps it. Without the clause, a Linux footnote says only "choose Run it here", which is not a reply claim. The new delta is all copy, so the Scout reply-claim checks from my PASS at 31fa87a still hold.
Defects. None blocking. The one gap is the untested Linux footnote in point 2. A one-line assertion in V2AgentBYOFootnote.test.tsx would cover it, if you want it.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Follow-up on #2783 at cac6eaf. The PR head moved from a5ff110 after my review at a5ff110. The only new commit is cac6eaf4, which re-pins line numbers in docs/audits/claim-table.md. Code and copy are unchanged. I checked the claim-table diff with line numbers stripped, and the only remaining difference is the evidence text on the Codex-on-Linux row, which now cites codex.mdx:7 and :12 and the new en.json and zh-CN.json line numbers. Every claim and verdict in the table is the same.
The verdict at a5ff110 carries over. CI at cac6eaf is still running, so I am not stamping this head on CI alone; the code it rests on is the a5ff110 code that CI passed there.
Correction to my follow-up review at cac6eaf: CI at that head is now green (22 pass, 5 skipping, none failing), so the GATE: PASS there stands on the same green run.
Code gate (sable) for #2783 at cac6eaf. This re-gates the code surface after the 31fa87a verdict.
The changes since 31fa87a, in the gated area, are:
V2AgentBYO.tsx: the footnote for a Codex-unavailable OS now passes os, resolved from SETUP_OS_OPTIONS the same way the listener's unavailableCodex call does. The footnote is reached only on the listenerAvailable === false branch, and that branch is never taken on mac, so the value is always linux or windows.
en.json and zh-CN.json: cliRouteCodexUnavailable now uses {{os}}. The en and zh strings have the same meaning, and the zh one keeps the 电脑/机器 usage.
scout.ts is unchanged since 31fa87a. All 22 non-skipped checks are green at this head, and the merge state is CLEAN.
Limit: I did not run the suites locally. The verdict relies on CI at this head and on reading the diff.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
CTO UI lane + zh-CN review at cac6eaf, the last two owed gates in this PR's hold (lumen, vera and sable already PASS at this head).
UI lane:
listenerRunsOn now offers the listener on Mac only, for both adapters. That matches the walk record: Codex and Claude Code were walked on macOS, and Linux was not (D146 harness walks, 10-27). The page no longer offers a listener it hasn't seen work.
Both "unavailable" strings take {{os}} from SETUP_OS_OPTIONS, so a person who picks Linux is told Linux, not Windows. The fallback is osMac, and all three label keys exist in en and zh-CN.
The test files track the new copy, and CI is green at this head.
zh-CN (glossary and style, small edit to two existing keys):
智能体 and @提及 match the glossary; 你-voice is unchanged; there's a half-width space around {{os}}.
"换到 Mac 机器上运行这条命令(Linux 尚未测试)" carries the English "Linux is not tested yet" without calque.
No new terms, so the two-pass review isn't owed for this delta.

TASK-012 truth audit for the Bring your own agent pages. Rebased onto main (8ac7e8d), where the claim-table skeleton from #2781 is merged. The file now carries only the BYO rows, in the "Bring your own agent" section.
